R411 Still in Stockholm?
I just noticed that Aurora's webcam appears to show her as alongside in Stockholm. I thought today was a sea day before Tallinn. Anyone aboard who can shed any light on what is happening?

No CB, you are correct, she is still berthed. Although that is not quite correct, the AIS shows her departing at 17.51 and berthing again at 18.02.
I knew P&O would change to longer port time.

Just leaving now for Tallinn. ETA 0330 UTC 17th
Interesting that yesterday Aurora moved from the usual dock to a commercial dock on the east side of Stockholm.

she's sailing through the Stockholm islands now
(whatever the reasons - there's far worse places to get stuck)

Someone who is on board has posted that they had to tender yesterday and so were given an overnight. The movement at about 6.00 was the ship moving to the dock. Due in Tallinn tomorrow at 03.30.
Very strange.

The run from Stockholm to Talin would appear to be about 15/16 hours so too long for an overnight and so they putt in a sea day and crawl. They are only doing about 17 knots and are going to arrive in plenty of time for the 17th.Capt Black wrote:Thanks for the update Dai. Re: R411 Still in Stockholm?
The real reason that Adonia had an overnight in Stockholm was that the captain had reports of adverse weather conditions ahead and it was going to be impossible to bring the ship in to the next port. Consequently he negotiated extra time in Stockholm but could not remain on the original berth and had to move out to a commercial dock.
Captain Box did an excellent job of keeping us informed of the situation and I, for one, would not want to venture anywhere the captain was not happy to go.
A most enjoyable cruise with first class entertainment and a superb, hard working Cruise Director and team.
