The equivalent pool on Britannia is in a designated "quiet zone" but is also open to all.

Re: Azura Refit?
Not really bothered what they do but from my experience I hope they change the 'slip resistent' decking to Non slip..!!

Re: Azura Refit?
I understand from a friend that came off ship this week that all the slip resistant decking was being ripped up before they disembarked.

Have attached a link detailing what's happening on the Azura refit. Details were provided in the Our World.

I see the funnel is blue this morning.
And how busy are those docks in Hamburg?
We must have been insane to allow our ship building industry to die.

The union flag seems to be appearing today. She might even be ready on time.

Re: Azura Refit?
Just back from first cruise after refit. New carpets and some new furniture in public areas, and new balcony furniture. In the buffet there is a self service wine machine, 3 glass cabinets each containing 8 different bottles of wine. You take a glass, put it under your choice of wine, swipe your cruise card and press the button for the wine. After about 5 days two of the machines, that's 16 bottle choices, were out of order and remained so for remainder of cruise. There are now cups on a place mat on buffet tables and the waiter comes round and asks if you want tea or coffee from his flask. We usually go down to Costa for coffee after breakfast so did not need this service. Unfortunately you got fed up of being asked do you want tea or coffee, on average 3 times each time. You can still get your own as most people did, it's a waste of time P&O gimmick. Getting off the ship for excursions was chaos, queues from gangway right around the atrium and through the art gallery, and down the stairs. On previous cruises we have gone to the theatre got number stickers and were called a group at a time. There was no chocoholics session, just a few new cakes in buffet advertised as a chocolate special, perhaps it only takes place on 14 night cruises. Captain conspicuous by his absence after welcome on board evening. We had a free champagne voucher to be used at any Sailaway, it was the worst champers I have ever tasted and can only hope that those people who booked recently with the free bottle of wine offer, get something drinkable. At one port shuttle bus was shared by a foreign ship not sure of nationality but they did not know how to queue. A large crowd was gathered around the pick up point and it was everyman for himself. One foreigner tried to get a suitcase on the coach and was told not to take up a seat with it, the result was a punch up which the driver had to split up.

Dear Old Timer..................it would be lovely to read of the positive aspects of your cruise rather than these negatives.

The excursions and the food on board were excellent. Also overworked staff polite and friendly.MaureenB wrote:Dear Old Timer..................it would be lovely to read of the positive aspects of your cruise rather than these negatives.
