Seventeen name change
Just checked speciality restaurants on next Azura cruise and Seventeen now gone and Epicurean in it's place. Are they the same or just renamed?

Re: Seventeen name change
Having seen the menu for Epicurean on Britannia it is very similar and reading various forums it seems as if they are changing the speciality restaurant names on Azura and Ventura to Epicurean.

Fair enough, I have always thought that ' Seventeen ' undersold the venue.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I hope Seventeen doesn't change - apart from its name I mean. We have always thought the food in there was great - and without the attachment of a "celebrity" chef!

We've always loved Seventeen for the same reason - the lack of a celebrity chef.CaroleF wrote:I hope Seventeen doesn't change - apart from its name I mean. We have always thought the food in there was great - and without the attachment of a "celebrity" chef!

I always liked the name as well, nice and understated.
It's a shame that there is now hardly any individuality

I agree Gill about the individuality, or rather lack of it. I liked it when there were definite differences between the ships - Cafe Bordeaux on Aurora, Seventeen on Azura etc. Now they all seem to be clones of the same product - I think it's a shame.

Or Orchid on Arcadia
As an East it's still a good place to eat, but I used to enjoy it more as an Orchid, as I knew I wouldn't get the exact same menu on any of the other ships

I am afraid its a Carnival idea mainly Princess as on majority of their ships the speciality restaurants are all called Sabatini's and Crown Grill.

Is it just me that associates Epicure with pickles ? Seems to me they are getting themselves into one !!

I'll reserve judgement until our trip on Britannia. On Azura we always preferred Sindhu to Seventeen. On Britannia we're booked into both the curry house and the pickle place so we'll see how it goes!

Re: Seventeen name change
Having now sampled Epicurean on Britannia the food was excellent, every bit as good as the old 17, and most of the staff had previously served there. So no fears for us in the change
