We have a yellow warning of ice and snow from midnight tonight. Perhaps someone could tell whoever manages the BBC weather web site that.

BBC Weather forecast for Maldon, Essex. Today: Sleet Showers. Max 4°C, min 2°C. Wind 7mph S. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643160

More chance of wining the lottery than getting snow round here. Oh, I forgot, I did. Well a free lucky dip anyway. Better cancel the Bentley.

There's always online shopping. That sort of money who cares about viewing or road testing.

I do the Post Code Lottery, been doing it for about 3 years now. You don't get big jackpots like 20m but you are supposed to have more chances to win something. Total prize money so far........nuffink.

Turning to sleet and later rain. The log burner gets set up every day ready for the evening burn. You can’t beat it.

Indeed not ... we are also using smokeless coal this year and that is great apart from the amount of ash it deposits as compared to the logs.

I haven’t used coal on the burner yet, preferring to stick to logs. But I am surprised by the amount of ash produced by them. Normally I put the ash round the rose bushes as it has good nutrients for them, but there is only so much ash I can spread about.

Probably because it just an automated sales pitch they send out. Just phone them up (good luck) and tell them to stop sending the info.

With my ' new ' birch logs there is hardly any ash at all ... less than a small cup full most days.

Wouldn't have nothing to do with you being tight and only burning half a log each time :D
