I don't think so, someone posted somewhere what was being done, I'll look.

''VENTURA
To some it may seem like just yesterday that Ventura was launched, but in fact its been 4 years since godmother Helen Mirren (and squad of abseiling marines) broke the all important bottle of bubbly to welcome Ventura to the fleet.
Since that time Venturas sister ship, Azura, has also been introduced to the fleet bringing the first single cabins – an addition that has proved particularly popular. 18 new single cabins are therefore planned for Ventura, to be housed adjacent to the Exchange Bar and Fortunes casino.
If you have sampled the delights of Azura’s wine bar and restaurant, The Glass House, you will be pleased to know that Ventura is soon to have her very own. Ramblas will change name to become The Glass House wine bar where you will be able to choose to dine on dishes that have proven popular with Azura passengers and you will also be able to choose from a fantastic range of wines by the glass with the enomatic wine system – perfect for wine sampling.
Ventura is soon to have an idyllic spot with the addition of The Retreat – a place where you can indulge in the al fresco spa treatment as you soak up the sunshine and the ocean waves.
P&O Cruises will also introduce a great new dance floor in Venturas spectacular atrium, as on Azura, where where you can enjoy lessons during the day or a spot of late night dancing to the sound of a live band.
The entire ship is wi-fi enabled so you can use your own devices where you choose. That means all change for her CyberStudy, which will become the new library, with fixed PC’s. Her current library will become a chic new perfume shop.
P&O Cruises hopes to announce some exciting news about Ventura’s East restaurant in the very near future.
These changes are due to take place 22nd March to 7th April 2013.''

Can't see how it could get a Seascreen as it has a roof? Azura's main problem for us was the lack of a roof when the weather was inclement and the dreadful noise emanating from the Seascreen which was blaring out loud music or noise all day. It was impossible to sit there if you wanted to relax or read. The other pool also had loud music all day.

i don think that can be true due to the roof over the pool as lioness has said. i'm not too happy about losing the shady area to the spa either, looks like i will be spending more time on the prom deck to get the shade.

Princess have put MUTS on all their early Grand Class ships which all add one covered pool, I believe it goes above the open pool, so no reason for P&O not to follow suit. Personally I have no problems with it.

Movies Under The Stars = MUTS.
We never used the screen & find all the pool areas too crowded, I think these areas are the ones that give rise to the Butlins at sea description.

we had a great night watching War Horse under the stars on Azura
the waiters brought drinks and the crew gave out comfy matresses and brought out blankets

no whiff of butlins at sea, mind you the people the trot out that old herring ,are probably the ones who went there in the 40's .50's and 60's and thought it was the height of holiday chic

I am sure I spelt that correctly, I wonder if David has sneekily added some predictive text software without telling us.
By the way Gilly JTD gave you the correct answer for MUTS, and DK added the sales pitch.

I must try Butlins then, if there are not 500 people all on sunbeds a few centimetres apart being assailed with burger smells & unwanted music it must be a darn sight more pleasant than the pool areas on the ships I have been on.

I have never seen 500 people all vying for sunbeds or smelt the waft of burgers or been assualted by unwanted music

I have had a pleasant day sat by the pool with convivial company enjoying a few drinks and some lunchtime snacks, with music playing in the background

isn't is odd how people can be on the same ship and have totally different views of the same things 8-)

I suppose it depends on one's own personal standards & what one is used to. I have never been on a ship where the area around the main pool is anything other than crowded & often compared to a seal colony, but to some I suppose it's a step up from crowded beaches in places like "the Costas"

Having never been to the Costa's except for a coffee, I couldn't comment
our cruise on Azura seemed somewhat different than yours
perhaps it's down to how you choose to enjoy what is on offer?
granted it was different than our usual holiday but enjoyable nonetheless

I was referring to ships main pools in general, crowded is crowded. I have seen crowded holiday resorts on TV. "The Costas" are Spanish Holiday resorts "Costa" is a chain of coffee shops, just for clarity.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up
we did not find Azura crowded but again we did not sunbathe as such, we enjoyed the atmosphere around the pools and the retreat but did not feel crowded or hemmed in at anytime

DK please tell JTD that your viewing of War Horse was during the evening when all the riff raff had vacated the pool area and left it to the sophisticats to enjoy a pleasant evening under the stars; otherwise this discussion will never end.

I was talking about crowded pool areas, I didn't mention War Horse. I have never ever heard of anyone who doesn't think the areas around the main pools on ships are a crowded nightmare of a place, avoided by anyone with any appreciation of quality time. I suppose though as I said before, it depends what you are used to.

is seems some people are used to crowded second rate holidays and some of us are used to something better

and the topic is about the sea screen not crowded pools that are a decribed by moaners as seal colonies, though i doubt said moaners have ever been to seal colony either
