Re: Harmony of the Seas in Southampton
Someone is posting from Harmony on the Cruisecritic RCI forum. They are doing the 2 shakedown cruises back to back.
Looks like they are experiencing some 'issues'

We missed her by a day, returning on Aurora on Monday but some friends who came in on Eclipse on Sunday said she looked awful - and they like the bigger ships !

We saw her Sunday.. Much too big for me, and too much razz.. I really do not want flumes and merry go rounds....but as already said others will love her. Made Ventura look positively tiny..

"It's a building site" say angry passengers on the "pre-inaugural" cruise.

The pics in the Daily Wail certainly support the building site opinions, some of the depicted hazards are / were positively life threatening.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Interesting RCI say they added these pre maiden inaugural cruises because the ship was delivered early. Well some of it was!

Why do people go on "shakedown" cruises knowing that is what they are and then complain that things are not right? The whole purpose of a shakedown cruise is to iron out the wrinkles - or am I missing the point (again)?

I would take "Ironing out the wrinkles" to mean getting the service side of the ship operating smoothly, not completing building works.

People are saying it was not advertised as a shakedown cruise.

Don't you know Jenni they use the flumes on disembarkation day, they swing them round and drop you straight into the Southampton Water.JenniC wrote:We saw her Sunday.. According to a news report it was more than a few wrinkles David, the cameras showed a kiddies ride next to a missing glass panel where there was a long drop into the sea.david63 wrote:Why do people go on "shakedown" cruises knowing that is what they are and then complain that things are not right? Imagine boarding a new plane to to find that your window seat was an open window seat.
