When to book select restaurants
I am usually a Royal Caribbean traveller but decided to give P and O a try this year. Disappointing that the fizzy drinks package is for 20 drinks only. It is bottomless on RC.
When is best to book a select restaurant? I have heard that when you board there will be special offers to intice customers into the restaurants on first and second night? Is this true or should I book ahead to avoid disappointment?

I wouldn't worry about pre-booking a select restaurant unless there's a special day or occassion you must have. In my past experience the select venues are never full, and I've always been able to get a table, even same day. Unless you're going on a very short cruise i'd just wait until you're there.

I concur with Snoozen82
The only time I've pre-booked before the cruise was for my birthday, on our last one.
Otherwise, just book on the day (or a few days before)
I assume that if they have space, you can just rock up.
You may find P & O quite different to RC in atmosphere.
In my opinion, it doesn't have that American feel.
I personally prefer the more under stated of P & O but I've met others who prefer the more glitzy of RC.
Whatever, enjoy your holiday.
