Krka national Park

Post by Janice 55 »

Has anyone been to the Krka National park, we are going on a cruise in September and one of the excursions is to the Park. I was wondering if somebody has been, is it worth the trip? You can go from Sibenik or Zadar. Look forward to hearing from someone. :)

I recall that there are Roman ruins close to Sibenik but little else, Zadar on the other hand is a delightful place.

The only National Park in this region that I would recommend is Plitvice (ish).

as per .... http://www.np-plitvicka-jezera.hr/en/

ps .... Hello and welcome

We went to Krka National Park last October from Zadar on Oriana.

I remember beautiful views once inside the park, a boardwalk down to a waterfall, a swimming "opportunity" in the lake (not taken up!) and a boat trip to a small village. Nothing spectacular but very relaxing and relatively quiet.

Love that part of the world - have a great cruise!

I am on the Aurora in October, and we call in at Zadar.
Have decided that the Zadar port of call is in between Venice and Dubrovnik we will just have a wander around Zadar, especially as it's our first time there.
