Re: Strictly
At the moment I think that it is any of the remaining six's to lose - any one of them could win if they get it right on the night.

Re: Strictly
Sorry to see Susan leave this week. No contest in the dance off.
I've said it before but Alexandra is not my favourite, despite her being a good dancer.
Will be nip and tuck in the final weeks now.

Re: Strictly
Her time should have been up weeks ago, but that's what happens on Strictly.

Re: Strictly
I thought Susan handled it very well, she certainly had the judges laughing. As David says, she knew her time was up, especially as against Alexandra. I thought the comments she made about it being the most unequal contest, said with a laugh was great! I'm not sure how much longer Alexandra will stay as she certainly doesn't seem to be the public's favourite - if she's in the dance off again I suppose it may come down to whether the judges want to keep her in.

Re: Strictly
I don't think it fair to pitch in those who have dancing experience with the pure novices. The latter will be very lucky to make it to the later stages, let alone to win it against those who have already had professional training and dance experience. It does give variety and entertainment but as a dance contest it loses credibility.

Re: Strictly
I think it was Susan's time to go, but its been a pleasure watching her. She wasn't the best dancer, but she was having the time of her life and it shone through into her performances.
Alexandra seems very unpopular, and Debbie's popularity seems to have dropped. Online chatter says that the judges favour those two, and it seems that people's dream scenario is for the two of them to be in the dance off next week.
My personal favourite pair is Joe and Katya. I'm tipping them for the win - he can dance and he seems popular

I agree on all counts Gill. I think Susan was far better than anyone expected. And Joe is a great dancer and personality. Alexandra and Debbie are both starting to grate on me.

I agree about wanting Joe to win. He comes across as such a happy, good natured person and has made enormous progress.

I'm reading Barnaby Rudge at the moment. Dickens keeps on about one of the characters being gay. Who knew?

I always thought it was a lovely and descriptive word - such a shame it has been hi-jacked with it's current connotation

Re: Strictly
Mmm some of the music in tonight's dances made it difficult for the dancers.
I liked Debbie's and Joe's dances this evening. Thought Gemma was poor, sadly.
It's the same again for me with Alexandra, she dances well, the judges like her but I can't warm to her.

Re: Strictly
I may be wrong but I think, depending on who she's against I suppose, that if Alexandra gets to the final - which she will if the judges keep her in, then when it comes to the public vote she will lose. I wonder, though if it came to Alexandra and Debbie in the Dance Off who the judges would keep? Probably still Alexandra.
