Hi Jean, yes I am still looking forward to the cruise. It looks like, based on the C.C. on the old P&O site and now on here, there is only me and you, so no rush for a sun-bed then. If there are others looking in and are on this cruise, just a reminder that the Southampton Boat Show is on if you are thinking to book a Hotel.
Ray
Just to add ( although I'm not on this cruise ) but a couple of years ago we sailed when it was the Southampton Boat Show and the traffic was horrendous so anyone travelling on the day should allow an extra 2/3 hours on their journey, we only had to get from our hotel to the port but took a wrong turning and ended up in a long queue of traffic and it took over an hour to travel about 2 miles.

Other than our hand luggage to pack Friday morning we spent today packing. Nine cases in all + three hand luggage and a hat box.

Southampton tomorrow: cloudy/sunny periods -dry - 16 degrees - dry.
Next Monday: Cadiz 30 degrees sunny.
Next Thursday: Malta 28 degrees sunny.
Saturday 28 Sept: Venice 24 degrees sunny periods - more comfortable for sightseeing.
A bit of a contrast from Oriana's preceding 7 days.

MM, a few from another site are meeting at 16.45 Terrace Bar non smoking side. 5 couples so far. So if anyone wants to join that would be fun.

No probs, you will see me around no doubt. Do you actually wear a monocle? If not, how would I recognize you>?Jean

Lioness:
Yes I do wear a monocle from time to time and certainly when up on deck in sunshine.
As regards general recognition - some liken me to Archie in 'Educating Archie'. Also, I wear a bow tie every evening as well as whenever 'jacket and shirted' during the day.
The avatar is reasonably accurate in terms of chapeau, bow tie and occasional use of aforementioned ocular device.
Assuming we are tied to port, we will be seated for circa two hours on the starboard promenade deck after the safety drill, as we enjoy a quiet sailaway and the slow peregrination down Southampton Water, Calshot Spit, Bramble Bank,
Cowes Roads, and on towards the Nab Tower.
Enjoy your cruise.
