Hi Morgan,
Sorry can't offer any advise but you do have my sympathy. l had an inner ear infection that throw me off balance for a couple of weeks and as you say it's not a nice experience.
You've probably checked out all the related links for your condition but just in case......

Hope things improve for you

Without stating the obvious, try phoning your pharmacist for advice.

HI Morgan.
I have Menieres Disease, which is a balance disorder, so I can relate to what you are experiencing.
The things that I find that help day to day are -
Keep calm and relaxed - getting stressed probably makes it worse.
Get some exercise every day. a walk is fine, and take someone with you if you feel wobbly.
Avoid alcohol and caffeine
Eat a balanced diet and keep sodium intake low.
Some people say that herbal remedies help, might be working Googling to have a look
Betahistamine is a common drug used for balance disorders, so, if it's not helping, I'd suggest you go back to the doctors and ask to be referred to an ENT consultant at the balance clinic at your local hospital.
Hope this helps a bit.
Let us know how you get on

Morgansmith, It's a shame that you are still feeling like you are still at sea, we had the same feeling on our first cruise
twenty odd years ago on the old Arcadia when we pulled into Vigo our first port of call. It was a strange feeling, and the same happened in all the following ports, not until a few days after arriving back home did it disappear. It never happened again. I hope you find it passes soon.

Don't worry, be happy
