Maybe they've changed. It was IOTS first season when we went so a few years backJan Rosser wrote: ↑13 Aug 2019, 06:55No paper cups for us either Stockholm today - off on shuttle bus to explore. The tickets for the bus are ridiculously expensive - we can’t believe how much we’ve spent so far - a definite negative for RCI.towny44 wrote: ↑12 Aug 2019, 19:27We got proper mugs, but maybe that's because we are Diamond.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑12 Aug 2019, 17:32
Yes I remember we got one of those too. But I was irritated that it came with throwaway paper cups not proper crockery.

Correct Merv, but its the pricing that keeps us faithful, certainly not the service standards, the amenities on board, the overall cleanliness or the stylish design of the ships.

Totally agree John, especially with the single supplement. A lot of cruise lines add on 100% as standard.
Just had a leaflet for Princess 2021 an 8 night cruise approx £1800 you then add the single supplement on and it's not value for money, which I actually think P and O are.

If I didn't like it I wouldn't book John. If you spend say £2,000 and don't like it that's £2,000 wasted in my book. I'd rather spend £2,500 and have a good time.towny44 wrote: ↑13 Aug 2019, 15:15Correct Merv, but its the pricing that keeps us faithful, certainly not the service standards, the amenities on board, the overall cleanliness or the stylish design of the ships.
That's why I wouldn't book Calamity again, even when they had a spate of cheap deals.
And it's why if P&O's good prices continue to attract loud mouthed we'll look elsewhere.

Interesting that today we should receive an e mail pushing the Britannia, do you think they have had a spate of cancellations ?

It doesn't need to be perfect for a holiday to be fully enjoyable Merv, and I live in hope that P&O will improve if I keep prompting them.Mervyn and Trish wrote: ↑13 Aug 2019, 18:36If I didn't like it I wouldn't book John. We like a nice vanilla. You must too the amount of time you spend on P&O

I've noticed that also on several occasions.

Back in Southampton - bit dull and damp. Disembarkation so quick and easy - off ship by 7.45 - cases easy to find - now on coach waiting for the stragglers although there are only 10 passengers on bus

If RCI can you get you off at that time, why do P and O make such a meal out of it ?

Re: RCI - Baltic
We had exactly the same experience disembarking Independence OTS, it was less than 10 minutes from joining the small queue at the gangway to exiting from the terminal building. The cases were all together which meant we saved many minutes trooping up and down the rows of luggage, and I was pushing both the trolley and my wife's wheelchair, but that's easy at City Terminal because the exit is adjacent to where you enter the luggage hall, and that whole area is luggage free making it easy to transit, and long wait getting past all the rows of luggage.
