I did it in two as well! First time since I showed my daughter how to play and by a sheer fluke got it in two. First go I got the first two letters in the right place and the third letter correct but not in the right place. This helped a lot as it meant I knew what the third letter wasn't, if you understand what I mean. After that there weren't many words it could be and I had a lucky guess.

Wow 2 for me - like Carole had first two letters correct and went for it plus Quordle in 8. Haven’t tried Octordle yet - I’ve been cutting the grass

Four for me today. Going to a darkened room to write out 100 times ‘If there is a choice of two words pick the one without a scienctific/technical meaning!’ Fell for it again!

Wordle in three. Defeated by Quordle. And never head of the answer to Worldle. I think they make some of them up.

Two for me in both Wordle and Quordle! Got Wordle on the second row (bit of luck as after getting it I thought of a whole new start to the word that would have sent me down a rabbit hole.) & only got two of the four words in Quordle.

Wordle in 3 but Quordle only managed three out of four - blinking American spelling !!! I had the usual failure in Worldle - like Merv I haven’t heard of most of the countries :lolno:

Wordle in 3, but haven't attempted Quordle yet, let alone Worldle!

Serves me right! I looked up the best suggested starter words for Wordle, picked one and tried it - not one letter was in the word, not even one in the wrong place. Second try got the end letter correct and one other letter not in the right place. After a lot of scribbling I did manage to get it correct the third time but don't think I could have done it without pen and paper.

That’s definitely a ‘D list’ word! From that you may infer that I didn’t get it in two…or three…or four!😂

The only way I have ever used todays word, was with ing on the end, never on it's own.

A bit of a tricky one today, I almost got stuck but managed a "Phew" in the end.

Three today but I had to write down those letters I knew weren't in it and a separate list of those letters that could be in it. I got the final letter on the second go plus two other consonants. I had ruled out all the vowels so eventually that made it a bit easier.

Disaster today - had the last four correct letters but there were 7 alternative first letters and after 4 attempts just didn’t get the right answer - 1st failure
Did Worldle in 1 - yes it was pretty obvious and Quordle in 8 - yet to try Octordle !!!

Took me five. Like Jan I got all but the first letter in three goes but then there were quite a few options for the first letter it was a lucky guess that I got it in five, could easily have been more than 6.

Has anyone tried Wordle today? I managed on the third try to get the first, middle and last. Fourth try got the first three and the last but then there were several possibilities as to the remaining fourth letter. Fifth try, no good so for the remaining chance I looked at the possibilities I'd written down and chose the word that seemed more American, well that's what I thought, and managed it on the sixth and last try. When there's so many options towards the end it's a matter of chance.

Tried a different start word today, and got it in 4.

Yesterday it took 5 goes due to the number of possible words.

I had four letters on my second attempt. Still took four to nail it.
