Greek Isles cruise
Fresh off our recent Norwegian Fjord trip on P&O Iona (thanks for the tips), we're going on a Greek isles cruise in August on the Regal Princess. This will be our third cruise. Itinerary is Rome, Naples, Crete. Ephesus, Istanbul, Mykonos and Athens. I know Rome, Naples and Athens well. Any tips on the others or the Regal Princess is greatly appreciated. Places to go, close to ports etc...
Thank you

Crete ... if Heraklion is your Port then take a trip to anywhere
Ephesus ... from Kusadasi is a great trip but a walk-a-bout in Kusadasi is also ok
Istanbul ... buy a Thomas Cook's Traveller's Guide on e-Bay and walk to the places you fancy
Mykonos ... deffo walk-a-bout. Go see the windmills, Little Venice and all the lovelies in the Old Town. After 18 days of the trots I cannot recommend eating out there in August.

Always great advice from Mob…. just a note about the ancient city of Ephesus…it gets very, very hot in August so be prepared and freeze some bottled water the night before to take with you.
Oh, and if you don't want to follow in Mobs footsteps avoid eating out at the cheap restaurants Mob frequents

Not as much as Celebrity seems to have upset Moby.Stephen wrote: ↑29 May 2022, 10:37

You're not wrong there, lots of +++ but we wouldn't book another cruise with them.

Re: Greek Isles cruise
Well this was a great cruise apart from some very rude people being very vocal with the guide, because he couldn't stop the rain in Istanbul and also some in the restuarant, who decided '30 seconds' was too long to wait for a drink and stormed out. Loved Mykonos and Athens and managed to stay a few extra days in Athens. Thanks for all the tips
