Arcadia cruise j215 to Ffords and tromso
we really enjoyed our cruise on Arcadia so you could see in places see she was an older ship mainly with the carpets fluffing up but other areas had new furniture in and looked smart and to use it was lovely having no children on board as it is an adult only ship just what we like
the cabin and balcony were really nice and we liked the palladium as well the food was excellent in our opinion all over the ship and as we were given £650 onboard spend we made good use of it and only ended up with a 69p bill
the weather was not brilliant in the Lofoten islands it was raining on and of most of the day but the scenery was beautiful with clouds around the mountains the locals told us it was the worst summer they had since 2014 with it raining every day in july and most days in august in fact the local guide told us it was a beautiful sunny summer day although the temperature was only 13 degrees the only port we missed was Haugessund as the captain announced the wind was to strong for them to dock safely by the port authority which brought the usual moans from some passengers that it was all p&os fault as they did not want to land there so they could sail home slower and save fuel
but are abiding memory of the cruise was seeing lots of the mountains still with snow on the tops in August

We had to have tugs to pull us away from the dock when we visited Haugesund earlier in the year so I can believe they wouldn't want a repeat of that.
Thanks for your report Graham.
