New to Britannia
We are looking into cruising the Baltic on Britannia next year.
Cabin grade GA looks best (Deck F) midships.
Having not cruised since 2017 - we would be out of touch - even without a pandemic intervening(!)
So, a few questions - in no particular order:
1) Any comments on Britannia in general
2) We're hoping that none of the ports are tender.
3) Dining - we have always gone for 2nd Sitting - does this still exist!
4) Tipping? What ACTUALLY happens - as distinct from what the book says...
5) the cabin plans say steel balcony - huh? - what's that mean?
thanks.
OH is learning the brochure off by heart - so no doubt other questions will arise!

Sorry - another one already - people keep talking about Apps....
We don't have smart phones - will that matter?

Re: New to Britannia
We did the Baltic on Britannia last year and we really liked Britannia - although large we found it a very easy ship the find our way around. Most things are around the atrium on three decks (and she has a good cinema)
Don't recall any of the Baltic ports being tender ports
It did last year and I have not heard of any changes.
Tipping is included and there is no need to tip any extra. If you feel that someone has given exceptional service then you are free to give them a tip. Bottom line - some do, some don't - it is entirely up to you, but there is no pressure to do so.
I think that means that there is a steel panel to the balcony as opposed to it being glass.
Nope.

Thank you David.
All questions sorted!
We can go ahead and book.
That's not to say there won't be more detailed questions later!

I seem to recall that we were way out of the centre - but we did an excursion so cannot fully recall
