Tiny Tim's latest wheeze:

"Liberal Democrats pledge to give free sanitary products to schoolgirls in bid to end 'period poverty'"

Who are Labour and the woolly liberals going to try to bribe next ?!

Thanks Towny. I'll make sure you get your share of the £58m too.
This new power has already gone to your head, I thought we were sharing 58 billion, not million?

Rumbled. I was planning keeping the other £57,942,000,000 for myself :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

All this talk of a fee and free movement being the price of a trade deal. Does the EU intend to impose similar conditions as part of a trade deal with the US?

I come back to a fundamental point. We have a trade deficit with the EU. As a country why would we pay to continue operating at a loss?

We'd be better off if we stopped trading with Europe altogether. Yes some companies rely on exports to Europe. They would need to refocus on supplying the domestic market instead unimpeded by imports from Europe competing with them.

Labour could win thousands of votes by pledging to deport Mrs Krankie

Heard Tim Farron on the Today programme this morning giving an interview - well I assume that's what it was supposed to be. What it was a a continuous rant about all the marvellous things the Lib Dems are going to do. The interviewer, I think it was Sarah Montague, was trying to say that there was no way the Lib Dems were going to form the next Government so the only way they could influence things would be as part of a Coalition and Farron said that no way would the Lib Dems be part of a Coalition so what he's going to do goodness knows. He can't even be part of a question and answer session, just barks out the usual phrases of all this money the Lib Dems are going to spend on Health and Education. He appeals to me even less than Nick Clegg and that's saying something!

Free Beer Friday !
That's a vote winner.

The only party that needs to exercise caution is the Tories because they are the only ones who can carry out any manifesto pledges.

Farron could promise the moon, but all he's trying to do is increase his MPs.
He may find himself completely wiped out because of his constant ranting.
A strange little fellow with an obnoxious whine.

I agree, it would be scary if they get in, but there is as much chance of that as a frost in Oxfordshire in mid-May. Oh, hang on a minute....

I know they are getting desperate but I didn't know they were that desperate.

Probably trying to get some tips on how to raise money - "You could always sell off the gold reserves that will bring you a few billion - Oh, sorry I have already done that!"
