Well Darkest one, you perhaps dont realise how tough it is for the likes of me and the others, to be a 'ten bob millionaire', and try to lose weight when you have so much money with which to buy caviar, quail, champagne, oysters, and all the other classy stuff we get delivered to table by our staff, on silver salvers every day.

Frank ,
as it is more a case of, fur coat and no knickers for the recipients of the government's "benefits for the aged" scheme, I suspect cheese on toast and cuppa soup is more the norm ,served on a tea tray in front of the 1 bar electric fire, wrapped in a tartan blanket

the true essence of the 10 bob millionaire is pretending to be part of the wealthy elite, whilst wearing a Matalan or Primark DJ and cheap shoes on formal night and also bragging about the price of their ex council house on some sink hole estate south of London and trying and failing miserably to exhibit any style or class what so ever, but carrying on regardless

I'm afraid I strayed from the fold as they say. Couldn't get back in to it after our holiday to Knowle. Now back on track and have 2lb to lose to have lost my 1st 2 stone. Only another 4 to get to my teenage weight but I don't think I'll ever manage that  Another 2 would make me happy.

Susan - it took me all the time from 3rd January to end of May to lose about 11 or 12 lbs so I think you have done fantastically well to have lost nearly 2 stone in that time. Very well done.

141 lb this morning so not bad. Slowly starting to replace clothes but still not brave enough to get rid of all the bigger sizes although I could do with the space in the wardrobe.

Good luck pinchers.

It's nice to lose the pounds in weight but it is the money pounds being spent to replace clothes which isn't so good.

I bumped into someone yesterday who I hadn't seen for about six months and her first words were 'Crikey, you've lost some weight' which cheered me up.

Got rid of another 3lb this week. One more to reach the 2 stone mark. Hubby and I are off to the south coast in July for 10 days so need to get rid of as much as possible before then.

Good morning pinchers,

Like Maureen lve also had the "crikey"you aint half lost weight" comments....and like Maureen l'm reluctant to throw out my now larger dress sizes....Oops!

There certainly is a sence of achievement when such comments are passed.

I know l'm being a little greedy but l was expecting to have lost more than 2lbs this week as l was hoping to have got down to 12 stone. (12-1 this morning)

Ah well still going in the right direction and next week should ( for the second time) see me below the 12 stone barrier.

Beef roast today so l better get preparing the veg.

Stay strong pinchers and remember....." don't eat late, you'll put on weight"

Regards

Keith

Well done Susan

Lost the 2.5lbs I gained last week ( that had gone by mid week ) + another lb, not as good as it sounds but I'm back heading in the right direction.

Not sure what happened last week as I still don't think I had gained but I weighed myself 3 times and it was the same each time, I haven't done anything different at all this week so it doesn't make much sense :?

Anyway well done to everyone else

Hi Jo,

l actually think its harder to lose weight when, as in your case you don't have a lot to lose. Well done with shedding the weight you put on last week

Morning all,
I knew the weekend would have done some damage. 2 1/2 lb on. How come it has taken me a month of hard dieting to lose that and in 3 nights it goes back on.

So frustrated and fed up.

I'm sure you along with hundreds of thousands "me included" have got to that point where you think this aint going nowwhere. Now l aint no slimming guru but what l do know is that you have to be in tne right frame of mind to succeed at dieting. Those who succeed will be those who have prepared mentally for what lies ahead.

You've only recently returned from your last cruise having " by all accounts " enjoyed many of the gastronomic delights on offer. Considering the short period of time between your last cruise and your forthcoming cruise its hardly surprising you haven't managed to get back into dieting proper.

Just go and enjoy your forthcoming cruise and think about dieting when you get back....oh and next time try and give yourself 6 months between booking cruises

Keep smiling Sue and have a fantastic cruise

Keith

Thanks all. Doing fewer cruises is not an option at the moment. We will only be back 8 weeks before we are off again for almost 3 weeks by then it will be mid September and we are away for just over 3 weeks at Xmas, then again in March for 2 weeks. Not moaning at all but it is vary hard to lose it in between cruises.

After our March cruise we have approx 6 months before we have another booked. I will just have to keep Garry away from the cruise brochures.

I will keep chipping away at the excess weight. I think the problem this time has been the lack of exercise. I need to get my mojo back but after the cruise.
