I don’t think you can blame the celebs. They get invited to take part in the show and either accept or not.
If you’re going to blame anyone blame the people who invite them onto the show. They should know from doing their homework from the outset who has or has not any dance experience.
Looking forward to the final.

That’s my thinking as well Stephen…they must have known he would have an advantage over the others yet still went ahead…. I don’t care who wins but if it is to be Layton, I hope he shows some restraint with no pawing or tongue jobs on Nikatina.Stephen wrote: 10 Dec 2023, 10:50I don’t think you can blame the celebs. Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2023
I still believe it is quite deliberate social engineering. The producers are desperate for a single sex winning couple so they deliberately recruit a dancer with experience to fill the role. But the viewers see right through them. The harder the judges lean towards Layton, the more orgasmic Motsi gets (does she realise she's not Layton's type?) the more the audience voters will rebel. And every other dancer who is knocked out adds to the anti Layton vote. He'll get the the final, because the judges have the final say in the dance offs. But he won't win because that's up to the audience. Then we'll have the homophobic card played. But it's not that. It's a straightforward sense of fairness.

I watched her on “Rip off Britain” the other night, so I don’t think so.

Have Layton and Nikita ever been in a ballroom hold, ie, a waltz or quick step for a full dance .

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2023
Best I don't comment on that offering.
As Merv says it was unfair to include a professional dancer in the celebrity list, unfair on the rest of the contestants and unfair expectation placed on him. Personally I am not particularly bothered whether they are gay, bisexual, homosexual or any other ual which seemed to have emerged in the definitions of sexuality. However I do feel they should dance with a member of the opposite sex rather than dressing them up to be a look-alike.
If we take Johannes Radebe as an example he is clearly gay but it was very touching to see the relationship he formed with Annabel and seeing them dancing together was a joy. No doubt other members of the cast are also gay but you would never know. I see no reason whatsoever why gay contestants need to dance with a member of the same sex. You may disagree but that is my feeling. There is no reason why there could not be a gay version of Strictly but tinkering about as they have done has, at times, created a rather comedic pastiche especially once you start dressing up a man as a woman or vice versa. Shall we just say it was entertaining

I am waiting for the obligatory "drag queen" to be a contestant as we seem to have to have one on virtually every program these days.
I know he is very emotional but on Saturday Sunday when Annabel was eliminated he was totally devastated, and I would like to think that it was because of the relationship that had developed.oldbluefox wrote: 12 Dec 2023, 16:59it was very touching to see the relationship he formed with Annabel and seeing them dancing together was a joy

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2023
Johannes was in tears, Bobby was in tears and Diane was in tears. The only one holding their emotions together was Annabel although I believe she anticipated she had gone as far as she could. The progress she had made as a total non dancer was incredible and for that Johannes has to take the credit.
From what he said he had formed a strong relationship not only with Annabel but also with her family.

Foxy, I think the BBC are so totally over the top with being PC/woke, that it is noticeable in lots of programs where they try to be inclusive for everyone. Still, it does not effect the the overall enjoyment of programs.
Don't worry, be happy

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2023
They all say the same old thing every year about they’re dance partner.
I wonder if they really do keep in touch or just move onto the next victim the following year. But then again, am I really bothered.
Looking forward to Saturday

Have you noticed how the couple saved in the dance off show such restraint in not showing their inner feelings of…Ha! Ha! it’s you…not us?

Perhaps that was why Bobby and Diane were crying.............a close shave but it was the relief of discovering it wasn't them.Onelife wrote: 13 Dec 2023, 09:57Have you noticed how the couple saved in the dance off show such restraint in not showing their inner feelings of…Ha! I'm looking forward to tonight's final. I think Ellie and Vito will win as I think she is the best dancer and is the only one of the finalists that ain't been in a dance off.
But I hope Layton and Nikita win.
