Am I missing something here? Do some of you already know the result?

The results show is filmed on Saturday night so the final result hits the forums from around 10.30pm. Why they insist on pretending the Sunday show is live I just don't know, would be much better showing it there and then.

I can’t believe you can still get 66/1 about Patrick Robinson winning the final...he’s the best male dancer by a distance. All I need now is for a couple of the fillies to break down and I'm home and dry.

Why the hell I took 16/1 at the start of the competition I have no idea

In the words of Craig "A M A Z I N G".

When this kind of thing happens the show loses all credibility for me. Abby in the dance off? While those two clowns Dave and Mark are still in, and Mark is so smug about it.

I'm glad I didn't read this thread before tonight's result show. I don't want to know who's in the dance off before I watch it. Please, no spoilers in future!

Calm down Frank!
I cannot believe Dave and Mark got themselves so many public votes to lift them out of the dance-offs so you do wonder if it is worth bothering to vote at all, not that I have ever voted but the likes of my mother would, so essentially a waste of money. Of course BBC would tell a different story.

My mother once complained vigorously because of the size of her phone bill. She argued that the contract she had allowed her unlimited weekend calls so when all of these programmes came on she was voting like mad - Strictly, X Factor, BGT. Of course she didn't realise it excluded 09 numbers so an expensive mistake. My mum!!!!

From this year, you can now vote free online for Strictly (though not for X Factor, which is all about money ... for Mr Cowell!)

I am very disappointed. the British Public should be banned from voting. :o they have no idea.

Dave and Mark are now blocking possible winners, as I suspected would happen.

We are in Madeira and can watch BBC in our room.

I agree with that, they keep voting in a Labour Govt every 10 years or so, some people just can't be trusted to do the right thing. :sarcasm: 8-) ;)

Really disappointed with this weeks result, as has been said the 'two clowns' are now blocking potential winners, I don't think Rachael was ever going to win but she certainly deserved to go further, as for Abby IMO she is up there with the best of them and being in the bottom two was a ridiculous result

Farcical.

The problem is the public are voting for their favourite contestant, not the best dancer. And while it still makes a fortune for the phone companies and Strictly I can't see it changing any time soon.

God help us at the nest general election.

I am another viewer disappointed with the results.

I don't understand the finer points of dancing such as the head, shoulders and arms being in the wrong position but to see how people change from the very first week is quite amazing

It must be extremely hard to teach someone to dance and even 'the muppets' show they can do something out of their comfort zone but dancing is about elegance and finesse, not embarrassing moves.

Last week showed how emotional even the professional dancers are when they are eliminated but someone has to go but it should always be the worst performer or as my OH says the no hopers.

I cant understand why people are so annoyed about the voting.

I don't watch the programme, but my wife does and says that this happens every year the people vote for their favourites , not the
best dancers.

Phew I've just watched the results I thought I'd better before I looked at the thread.
This always happens with this type of programme. It makes you wonder who is voting. Hopefully though the best dancer will win which is Natalie in my opinion. I do think it's ridiculous that Abbey and Rachael were in the dance off.

This happens all the time in programmes like this.

This week in X factor, one of the favourites to win it, was voted in the bottom two.

Two points:

1. It is all about ratings and it is working because we are talking about it.

2. We do not know what is going on in the background. It may be that Rachel had "wanted out" and that was only way that it could be seen to be fair and "above board"

Craig was right for once. People don't know what they are voting for. Rachel and Abby should not have been in the dance off unless something is going on that the BBC needs to investigate.

Rachel and Abby danced like cardboard cut outs so had no chance of winning anyway...but agree, their departure was a little premature. I have no vested interest in this but I think we should all get behind Patrick Robinson who comes from humble beginnings, sends all his money back to his family in Africa, patron to 15 charities and fought in the first and second world wars.

Vote Patrick and help Onelife get one across OBF

I don't really see the point of any of it - I'd much prefer they brought back 'Come Dancing' and we just had proper dancing to watch again rather than a group of celebs who are being paid massive amounts to take part.
