Re: General Election - 8th June
I know - they were all so close to the car. I'm surprised more of the silly buggers don't get run over when they are clamouring to get pictures of people whizzing by in a car, which none of us area really that interested in anyway

That's a good one Cubie, if they stay here they get taxed to death, or they do what they did in the 70's and go and live abroad. I know which one I would do, just as long as I can get Sky Sports on my TV.

Re: General Election - 8th June
Most of our so-called celebrities live abroad anyway, and pay their taxes abroad. Then they call in from time ti time to pick up their gongs and awards. How long till Sean Connery calls by in his kilt to lend Mrssssshhh Krankie a boost? He will wave his saltire and then retreat back to his tax haven miles away.

On a positive note, it was quite funny to see McCluskey fall on his a*se when he slipped on the steps leaving the Labour Manifesto meeting yesterday. I'm sure if he had hurt himself he would have recieved treatment under his Private Health Care supplied by the Unite Union..??

So, the lovely Lib Dems are planning to finance their manifesto pledges by drug dealing !
How can anyone possibly take them seriously ? They are no longer even a creditable alternative for the protest vote. The Monster Raving Loonies have better policies !

Can somebody explain how Tiny Tim's policy of bus passes for the young will help them get on the housing ladder?

Re: General Election - 8th June
I thought it amusing about the TV debate tonight with the two main parties not turning up. A bit like throwing a party and the host not bothering to show. Apparently Corbyn said if Theresa May isn't tuning up then nor am I.

Re: General Election - 8th June
Had he not fallen on his £140,000pa pay cheque he might well have hurt himself. He would then have had to retreat to his £700,000 central London flat for which the union lent him £400,000.screwy wrote: 12 May 2017, 18:35On a positive note, it was quite funny to see McCluskey fall on his a*se when he slipped on the steps leaving the Labour Manifesto meeting yesterday. Perhaps it was the thought of Comrade Jezzer hitting him for more tax that made him faint

Re: General Election - 8th June
You have to take them all with a pinch of salt because a lot of the stuff bandied about in previous manifestos often never happens

The same old Jackanory.
The manifesto promising the earth, then once in power it's bring out the back track book.
Not that I'm cynical of course

Re: General Election - 8th June
The strange thing this time is that some of the stuff in yesterday's manifesto could even deter some people from voting Conservative who would otherwise have done so. I always thought the idea of it was to win votes and then go back on the promises once in power.
