Point of order

Otherwise agreed, there is a lot to discuss albeit we will have absolutely no influence over the process. For me this is the part where the politicians ( of all parties ) should act like adults and govern the Country in the interests of the Country and the entire population as far as is humanly possible.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Both sides are entitled to speak about it.

Just because Leave won, it doesn't mean that Remain have to stop talking about it.

The referendum was won by a very small majority.
Not in England it wasn't. From the BBC website (not known for their Eurosceptism): "England voted strongly for Brexit, by 53.4% to 46.6%, as did Wales, with Leave getting 52.5% of the vote and Remain 47.5%".
But the question wasn't about whether England or Scotland or Wales or Northern Ireland should leave or stay.

It was about the UK as a whole leaving or staying

It wasn't about winning constituencies or regions. It was about the individual vote across the whole of the U.K. That's the only result that counts
...but many people still won't accept that fact. It was dressed up as a black & white decision - stay or leave. But now it has gone the "wrong" way in some eyes, there is an awful lot of wriggling going on.
The ironic thing is, even though it went the right way for some, they are wiggling too. Like BoJo for example

But Boris is a born wriggler ! Personally, I don't think he really wants to be PM but feels pressured to stand, having been a prominent figure in the Leave campaign.

What is left to discuss is not "we wuz robbed" or the need for another referendum. What needs to be discussed is how we go forward from here. The result was a (small) majority to leave - THAT is what must be accepted, whether it is liked or not.

.
In that we are agreed.

But with the power vacuum in Westminster, any clarity about the future is a long way off

I can't see him winning any leadeship ballot right now, but part of me wants him to to be PM - then he'd reap what he sowed - he said he wanted Leave, so then he could sort out the mess we find ourselves in.

A very emotive subject to be sure, but it may help if the leader of the remain camp on this forum, didn't portray the leave camp as uneducated, racist troglodytes who know nothing and it would also help if he stopped telling everyone he knows it all, a degree and a few years of sales experience doesn't make him a politician or an economist
so whilst there is much to discuss and there will be for many years to come, it would help this topic no end if the leave campaign leader would learn some manners and also learn when to be gracious in defeat
Oh and I also have a degree and lots of sales experience, but I wouldn't presume to tell anyone they were right or wrong.......just saying
At least have the decency to quote me accurately if you are going to resort to being so aggressive DK. I answered another members post, to say 'don't count me in on that, I voted Remain because of what I learned on my business degree and my sales experience. It is not telling you, you were right or wrong, nor is it bad mannered, it is just saying why I voted and believe the way I do. I do not have middle class pretentions or a comfortable pension and I am not caring. It's just because I do care that I say what I say. I don't care if you or anyone else have a PhD in economics or anything else for that matter.

I dont even care if Silver Shiney tries to hug me.

Oh dear Frank, you do seem to be taking every comment to heart and thinking you are the centre of attention
so let me clarify ,the golden generation is not and was not aimed at you
as for aggression, your reply is as aggressive as anything I have written, so calm yourself down and fall back on this
we live in a democracy, we voted, you lost and now we move on and for heavens sake, you are not the only voter in or out ,with a degree and a bit of experience, so again it hardly justifies pomposity and your constant pontificating about it and it qualifies you as much as the rest of us with degrees and experience and equally those without a degree and yet again you hold your degree up as some sort of talisman, to say you are better than those who voted leave, so I am right in my posting that you think you are right and everyone else is wrong.
well you lost so suck it up
