Well done DQ on reaching your target and still continuing. I often just about to reach target just as I am going on the cruise. It is years since I had the luxury of reaching it weeks beforehand.

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
Ah but the target I set myself was just for this group Sue, it was weight I needed to lose and I knew was achievable without giving too much up, it is so hard to continually give up the things you like but that is where I am at the moment and I'm sure it will be worth it but if not as long as I maintain what I have lost I can be happy with that.
Your problem .. as I see it in not having the luxury of reaching your target weeks in advance is because you do far too many cruises
and long may it continue

Yes Jo you have hit the nail on the head. I don't want to cut the cruises down yet so need to moderate my drinking whilst on them. I always go with good intentions.

Well, I don't want to boast, but I reached my target and managed my first post-op cruise without any problems and a zero weight gain.
It's just as well - the zero weight gain, as I've already got my outfit for the forthcoming christening, and I don't want to change it.

I don't very often put weight on when on a cruise ( if I do it is only 2/3 lbs ) funnily enough I tend to eat far less than I do when I'm at home but I do drink more that's for sure.

'ey up, have you lot given up?
I'm weighing in today at 11-7-6, which, considering the last two weeks of stuffing my self on holiday, isn't too bad.

Hi Alan,
No, I haven't given up - I had my outing and gained no weight; I got through the christening and wore the outfit I wanted to wear just fine.
Now - just watching my weight pre-festive season and pre-cruise.

No not given up and keep looking at the thread. I think our leader has given up on us. It is always hard to get back in the diet mode after a cruise unless you have another one booked.
I am way off target but still chipping away at it. We go down to SHampton 7 weeks tomorrow. I would love to lose 7lb before then.

Seven pounds in seven weeks? That's a pound a week - you can do that easily!

I think our leader must be busy making a fresh batch of 'Keefy's Chocs' in readiness for Christmas
I'm still managing to lose a few pounds but I'm very up/down still I'm happy with where I am at the moment, no doubt we will all be back 'raring to go' come the 1st January after all the Christmas gorging

), despite pigging out last night on Dorritos and bacardi'n'coke!
Am I the only one weightwatching now?

Oh dear Foxy I'm guessing you were on Oceana returning yesterday? A friend was on the cruise with his two children but they were ok. I came back on Thursday having been on Oriana which thankfully due to very strict controls for three days was as far as I am aware norovirus free. Not the way one wants to lose weightoldbluefox wrote:I lost 5lbs in a matter of days.

Sue and I are back in training....we have four packets of biscuits in the house ready for Sue's Coffee morning Wednesday, and we haven't even trembled as we walk past them.

We arrived back early morning yesterday so I didn't hop on the scales until this morning and I am 141.6 ibs so I have about 2 pounds to lose. In Frank's words 'back in training' from today. Now Ken is another matter - a bit of a touchy subject at the moment.

Last weigh in was Tuesday and I was 15 stone 7lb. Been around that for the last 4 weeks.
I was 16 stone 1 1/2 when I first posted at the beginning of the year.
Pleased with that.
Will start again in the New Year.
So how did you do in the end?

I could do with a lecture from Keefy as I seem to be going up since my cruise rather than down and now have 3 lbs to lose. It might be due to the box of MS Florentines I scoffed the other night or it could be their extremely chocolaty biscuits which I am steadily working my way through.Suekersh wrote:Well done Maureen. Come back, Keefy - all is forgiven
