Once you lick the frosting off a cupcake it becomes a muffin and muffins are healthy.

You’re welcome.

Eat with a friend. Calories with a friend don't count.

Probably better to combine such wonderful gems of advice and say -

Once you lick the frosting off a cupcake it becomes a muffin and muffins are healthy so be kind to a friend and give them the licked muffin to eat.

About time this thread was brought back to life. I can't believe our Lord and Master has deserted us in our hour of need. I need HELP but I am off to Spain on Friday for a week so it can wait until after that. I put a stone on over Xmas, lost 7 lb of it since we got back, no doubt put that back on whilst in Spain.

Sue, I will happily join you once you come back from Spain as my weight is starting to creep up instead of down. My problem is that I'm a fair weather walker and if I stay indoors I eat. When you are ready to start weighing in, come back to this thread and we'll start again. I had much more will power when I knew I had to weigh in. Have a good time in Spain and I will look out for this thread again if you feel like doing it.

Maureen.

Hi , it is not a matter of feel like doing it. I have to do it! I have wardrobes full of cruise clothes and I can't afford to replace them and continue cruising. Lol. Will defo find the thread and weigh back in next week. My dad likes the same kind of food as me so we are probably in for a gourmet week of lobster, prawns, squid , octopus etc. healthy food but not if cooked in butter. And then there is the copious amount of wine at night and San Miguel during the day. Oh dear. When I get back it is only 6 weeks to our Caribbean TA Cruise. A year ago today I was 9st 7 lbs and setting off on our part world cruise adventure. I have not been back down to that since then although I have been down 9st 10 which isn't too bad if I can stick to it. At the moment I am 10 stone 3 lb.

I'm a bit more than you, Sue - 10 stone 4 lbs and I would like to get back down to 9 stone 13 lbs as I was comfortable at that weight. I just have to ignore the bag of chocolates in the cupboard which keep waving at me today.

I was really pleased with myself when I got back from our Xmas cruise and hadn't gained any weight  but in just a month I have put six pounds on :o due to eating all the things I know I shouldn't and yes I do love chocolate :o

Probably time ladies to get ourselves back in here and get rid of the excess pounds ;)

Will our leader be joining us :D

Good Morning Pinchers. I am back from Spain 5 lb heavier than I went. Too much Tapas and Rioja me thinks.

Back to the diet today but it will be a difficult week as Dad is still with us until Wednesday so I will be cooking for him, then Thursday is our Wedding Anniversary and Garry has booked us a meal out. Only 6 weeks today before we fly to Barbados so I Will try my best and report in next Friday.

After a low before Christmas of just over 11st, I'm back up to around 11-6, with a minor fluctuation either side. That's probably where I'm meant to be. It's still two stone lighter than 12 months ago.

I have had to move the scales to a different room as we had new, thicker carpet put in the bathroom yesterday and the scales gave some wonderful readings this morning which I know are not true. Have moved them to a flatter area in another room so will need to weigh for a few days in the new area to see if I am getting a more realistic reading - mind you, I did like seeing the 'duff' readings.

Now that sounds a good plan Maureen, mine are on a tiled floor so I might just have to move them into the bedroom ;)

Morning all,
I weighed in early this week on Thursday morning as knew I would be having a bad weekend. I lost 3 lb during last week but have probably put that back on already. Diet starts again from tomorrow but I have my Grandaughters staying a few days next week.
Fingers crossed for next Friday's weigh in.

I seem to be hovering around 11-6-0, so reckon that must be what I'm supposed to be.

I think I am 143 lbs but I'm still not sure our scales are any good on carpet even on a flatter one. The only area with a really flat covering is out in the conservatory but I'm not standing out there in a nightie !!!!

Quite right, Maureen, the nightie will add to the weight.

After a fat-laden dinner, half a bottle of white wine and half a bar of chocolate last night, I'm currently on 11-8-0. This week isn't looking too promising - I'm going round a friend's house on Thursday for a lads' night in, where he'll be serving a luscious curry.

I am 141 lbs 6oz today. It hasn't been achieved by walking, it has been caused by not eating much as my throat feels like pieces of glass have been cutting it. Both hubby and I have this awful cough and cold and aching joints so we have spent most of the last few days huddled up on the settee feeling very sorry for ourselves. The only thing that helped me get our problems into perspective was reading Whynd's entry about feeling really really fed up because of problems with the car and combi boiler. At least our current problems haven't cost us a fortune - do hope things get sorted Whynd without costing anymore.

Thank you, Keefy. Hope you are feeling better as well - I was going to say have they got to the bottom of your problem yet but perhaps that is being a bit tactless.

I'm now up to 11.10.2 - time to scale back.

Keith, what's the latest, mate? I'm sure I speak for everyone here to say we're concerned about you.
