I managed to put a stone on whilst on Azura so back to the drawing board or diet. Hope it comes off as quickly as it went on.

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
On my first cruise (Canberra 1986) I was concerned about putting on weight so I made use of the set of scales at the entrance to the main lounge. I re weighed myself a few days later ( off the coast of Portugal and was shocked at the amount of weight I had put on. Reported this to my wife who refused to believe it and so I took her to check the reading. This time I was pounds light than before I left Southampton. Hadn't allowed for the effect of a pitching ship; weight increases as the ship pitches upwards and falls as the ship goes downwards. Never bothered since. Seriously I don't seem to put on much on a cruise. I think it's probably due to regular meals & no grazing.

I've put quite a few pounds on since Xmas, I always find Jan-Mar difficult, dark nights, cold .. what else is there to do other than eat and drink
So the 'diet' starts today !!
Good luck all you 'pinchers'

Me too Jo, it has been back on the home made cakes, and keeping ice cream in the freezer.
I have 5 weeks and 5 days to get to my healthy weight, and thus not embarrass OBF, by looking like Colonel Blimp, when I see him.

Keith, what's the latest, mate? I'm sure I speak for everyone here to say we're concerned about you.[/quote
Hi Mr Shiney,
I have an appointment with the consultant on the 30th of April where l'm expecting to get the all clear. I'm sorry that l haven't kept you all up to date with things but as donations to the onelife cruise appeal have been flooding in l couldn't find a good time to break the good news to you all
. Btw Mob....thanks for the lilies
Still waiting on one set of test result but the consultant was pretty sure the problems l was experiancing were due to imflamation of the cartilage (The bit that stops food going down the wrong pipe. Had a course of antibiotics which now has me chirping like a sparrow up a tree.....and thankfully feeling so much better.....
Thank you.
Regards
Keith
