I’m still not really inclined to interact with you, but I’ll give the answer anyway.

This is at least the third time this Durham thing has been reported by right wing media, and until now it has never got any traction, because nothing untoward actually happened. The last time it was reported, I looked into it. The ‘event’ happened on 30th April 2021, as part of the run up to the local elections at the start of May. At that time, people were allowed to travel for work, and campaigning for elections comes under the heading of work. The explanation given that they had to have refreshments at the office because the hotel didn’t do food seemed reasonable then, and does now.

All the previous reports that I saw didn’t mention Angela Rayner. It wasn’t reported that she was there, the press didn’t ask if she was there and Labour didn’t deny she was there. Nobody at all mentioned her name.

Therefore, I tend to think that this being dug up again, with the added spice of Angela Rayner being thrown in, is just right wing media desperation.

You appear to know in detail what happened and what didn't. Excellent. No point in the police investigating then. Nothing to see here. Though oddly, despite you knowing otherwise, Labour have admitted they initially denied she was there. Hmm.

For some Screwy there is no such thing as the left wing press. There is the right wing press and the truth.

We all come to this with some degree of bias and read the papers that support our view. The biggest degree of bias is pro/anti Brexit. Boris delivered, not a perfect deal but the delivered, when those who refused to accept the result of the referendum tried every trick in the book to stop it. For that some will hate him and deride his every action, public or private. But they won't admit that. They'll dress it up in every other way they can. And will staunchly refuse to see any fault in anyone who isn't Boris.

For me he has done the job and I would be delighted to see him go and be replaced by a new Tory leader who can give the opponents something different to talk about

The one person who actually will be very worried when he goes is Sir Hindsight. His "I'm not Boris" policy will become useless and he will actually have to tell us who he is.

I now expect the Labour faithful to refer me to their website or Twitter account but I really expect politicians to be more pro-active.

If someone can tell me where he sits on the Corbyn-Blair scale that would be grand. If Corbyn is 1 and Blair is 10, what number is Sir Hindsight?

At the moment he's so grey he makes John Major look like Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Probably why he needs Angela Raynor to bring a little life to his frontbench.
