It was smashing - we were onboard, had a cake (I don't know how they knew), and our bed was suitably 'decorated' for us. We had cards, and champagne gifts.

Another couple here. We celebrated 42 years in July
Frank that was a lovely sentiment. I was very lucky with my I-Laws - fabulous and I know my Hubbie thought the same about my Mum. Unfortunately my Dad didn't see us get married

DH is 65 in October. Still hoping to celebrate with a cruise. Just waiting for the okay from the doc.
Nothing serious but need to make sure we have insurance.

Firstly - thank you for alleging that I 'craftily' avoided answering a question. I didn't - dinner was called early, and I trotted off for nosebag!
However, thank you for pointing that out.

Yeeess, joking aside, I think we can all safely be sure that Em does not wish to give an answer. That's fine.

Re: Any significant milestones this year?
Maybe Em thinks her special anniversary is related to Birthday Numbers.
There are a lot of people on this forum who have been Married for many years. They are all very lucky to be edging towards those golden years together.
For Birthdays they are numbers, small, medium and large. It doesn't matter which bracket you fall in they won't go away so just enjoy them.

I so agree. I was dreading my 60th a few weeks ago, but when it arrived, I realised how lucky I was to be able to celebrate it and of course I felt no different from the day before.Andrea S wrote:Maybe Em thinks her special anniversary is related to Birthday Numbers.

Re: Any significant milestones this year?
Gill, I think panic sets in but at the end of the day your family and friends are all keeping up with you.
You have celebrated this one on different occasions so it can't be all bad.
All those memories.
Em, My next one with a zero is a very big one and it is scary.

Well Andrea - what can I say? I just hope that when it happens you have a lovely time, and some wonderful memories; and most of all that you thoroughly enjoy yourself.

Re: Any significant milestones this year?
Em, I have just over 5 years to go to that one when I will be ancient. The one this year with a 5 at the end is bad enough.
I don't look back , only forward so hopefully I have many things to look forward to.

Hi emjay,
No need to apologise - but rest assured, it is most certainly not a sore point.
