It seems a pity that a bit of light-hearted banter between OL and a few others causes upset so if anyone has something more inspiring to discuss then they should feel free to share. I enjoyed our banter with OL which was always kept civil with no harm being done even if it means OL has the last word!!!![]()

Only in America....
Fans are suing Universal Studios for €5m because an actress they like who appeared in the trailer for the film Yesterday wasn't in the final cut of the film.
They are suing because they say they wouldn't have spent €3.99 renting the film if they'd known she wasn't in it.
If they succeed I must find something to rent that my favourite actress isn't in!

Re: Current Affairs
H&M really need to ditch their PR team. Clarkson's article in the Sun was crass and out of order and probably gained them more sympathy than their Netflix series. It gave them the moral high ground. By rejecting the Sun's apology they've surrendered that and once again paint themselves as entitled and petulant. If they'd graciously accepted the apology they'd have gained more sympathy and the story would have died. By stirring the pot they've guaranteed it'll run a little longer.
They need to fire their PR people and give the gig to OL. He'd do a better job. And he's probably cheaper too.
Okay maybe not the last bit. He has chickens and his bookie to support.,

Re: Current Affairs
As a concession to OL's anti-monarchist views the King Edward VII Stakes today has been renamed the Jeremy Corbyn Annual Clopalong.
It seemed strange yesterday having no Queen's Speech but why do the media try to stir up trouble saying that Charles was being political in the speech he made. I didn't see anything political about it.

Hi Foxy, as one who always listens to your take on things, I decided to take a look at his speech to see if I could find anything political in it, I couldn’t, what I found was a patronising load of codswallop about me, me, me, and the insincerity of thinking he was best placed in echoing what the public are going through…no wonder the younger generations are turning their backs on these wealthy freeloaders.

Sir Merv, you above all should know that what comes out of the ‘Sun’ couldn’t possibly be sincere…they are the absolutely the pits when it comes to newspaper reporting... which you will have witnessed this past couple of months.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 24 Dec 2022, 18:46H&M really need to ditch their PR team. Lovely Meghan and Harry were right in treating the ‘Sun’ apology with utter contempt, Imo.

If I were to be offered the job, I would have probably been thrown to the wolves by those who would rally round to ensure the continuation of this self-serving institution.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 26 Dec 2022, 18:27Ah so sad. Just when I recommend you for a job you fail the audition.
