Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Chris, (at the price) wasn’t a good betting proposition for me so I went for Tasha as the next best bet. Chris, is without doubt a worthy favourite and Liverpool will be very proud of him tonight.
I thought Tasha’s dress was a distraction from what was an otherwise pretty good dance.
Jamie, is the biggest improver with his Paso being superb.
JB, gives it his all every week and this week was no exception.
Punam is going to struggle to stay in this week
Paul…from the waist down was pretty good…Graig’s score of 3 was unfair, imo
Sam, isn’t a natural… but tries hard.
Pete, didn’t do a lot of dancing and will be in the danger zone tonight.
Sarah, is no spring chicken which is why her dance was even more impressive…loved it!
Shane, not sure what to make of his dance, some nice lifts but the rest of his body looks like it’s full of Botox…stiff and expressionless.
Wynne, even if he doesn’t go much further, he appears to have lost a few pounds for his efforts.
Montell, best Haka I’ve seen in ages…loved it!
Anyone of four could be in the dance off tonight, Paul and Sam being two of them, however, this week it’s…

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
He certainly went backwards after a big improvement this week.
Based on public support, which is all that counts if he reaches the final, and the fact he's a pretty good dancer too, my money would be on Chris to take the Glitter Ball home. I don't know much about betting but I do know it doesn't matter how good the odds if they don't win!

Chris is currently trading at 4/7 which in betting terms means you stake £7 for a return of £11…so yes it is a win…I however, will be hoping that Chris falls in training and breaks his big toe which would enhance my chances of winning £45 for my £10 stake.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 20 Oct 2024, 14:27He certainly went backwards after a big improvement this week.

Top three at best… but seeing how my predictions are going he could go all the way, especially if Chris and Tasha both break their big toes

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Some will recall that I took 7/2 about Tasha winning Strictly…you can now get 7/1…not one of my best bets.
Chris, bit basic, bit stompy but amazing what he achieves.
Pete, improving every week, despite the few wobbles.
Montell, didn’t see her put a foot wrong.
Punam, just going through the motions with little to no conviction…she will be back reducing the waiting lists on Monday.
Wynne, the weight continues to come off…shame that the one lift looked like he was carrying a bag of spuds.
JB, played the character well, not overly impressed with the dancing.
Tasha, it’s a shame the best dancer doesn’t always win Strictly… but it’s worth a tenner just to carry on seeing her lovely legs…. Just Brilliant!
Shane, lacks personality which is essential in this competition…. far too much standing around for my liking.
Jamie, not much to dislike about that dance.
Sarah, I said to my wife before they started…” this is going to be good” My gawd was I right?
Sam, best dance so far….well done that girl.
Well, continuing my good run of form, this weeks bottom two are Shane and Punam.
So, it’s Hello Shane, Goodbye Punam.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Well one thing is certain - even though Chris was in the bottom two he will not be in the dance off as the public will save him.
Not sure how much longer Wynne will be around - looking as if his time is running out.
I thought Craig and Anton were hilarious last night.

Now why do people create such a fuss about the Strictly Spoiler? To get the result you have to search for it - it is not as if it is plastered all over the internet.

I avoid the Internet as much as possible on Sundays. I much prefer to see the result on the show.
One thing I have picked up though is Amy was taken to hospital after becoming unwell after dancing last night. Fingers crossed she's okay. She does say she's feeling much better now.

Full story here. Hope she’s OK to carry on.
Amy Dowden rushed to hospital during Strictly show https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c3deemjg338o
I think everyone upped their game last night.
Craig and Anton, good sports. Reminds me off the Adonia naming ceremony

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
I rather suspect a flare up of her Crohns. That's hospitalised her a few times before. Sad she has to live with that, which she does brilliantly, but hopefully nothing worse. They do seem hopeful she'll be back the following week if JB can hang in there. He doesn't seem to be attracting much public support.

It also could be exhaustion after her cancer treatment
He doesn't but he will have the Amy sympathy card this week.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Pete, the judges were overly kind to Pete, here’s what they should have said…rubbish!
Wynne, nice voice but I didn’t see a lot of dancing, he did however give it his all,
Sam, lovely choreographed dance, big improvement on last week’s dance,
Chris, lucky he’s got the voters on his side… how he got two eights for that is beyond me.
Sarah, absolutely stunning performance… I should have put my tenner on her.
JB, Wow! Where did that come from? His best dance by far… his lovely children must be jumping around the living room like crazy.
Montell, Great song, good dance…she’ll be back next week.
Jamie, the lad did well.
Tasha, such a lovely genuine young lady…it certainly touched my heart.
Shane, has just made it easy for me.
This week’s bottom two are Pete and Wynne,
So, it’s hello Pete goodbye Wynne.

I hope you're right OL. I find his OTT patriotism irritating.

JB was interesting. They all seem to do better on their couple's choice dances.

When I read this I thought I don’t know a dancer called Jan then realised you are talking about me - I’m flattered
Actually Wynne has been getting on my nerves too - bit of a diva! Not a very good dancer either in my humble opinion - I shall be looking at the strictly spoiler later with fingers crossed

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2024
Well by rights Chris should at least be in the dance off - if not going home. Whilst I appreciate the massive challenge he has undertaken and what he has achieved he is now getting to the end of the road. Has has been in the bottom two or three for the last few weeks and his dancing (which is supposedly what this is about) is not up to the level of some of the others.
However I doubt that he will be in the dance off (ever) as he has massive public support and is, in some quarters, tipped to win.
