We should blindfold all the young women as a safety precaution.

Good plan!

I wonder why the protesters who don't like the way asylum seekers are housed don't simply offer places in their own homes?
I can't for the life of me understand why the government doesn't set up a scheme , similar to the Ukrainian re-homing scheme, where volunteer concerned citizens who support these young men can open up their homes to them, with support.
Then, all those who wish to can home an asylum seeker while waiting for the case to be heard.

It worked for Ukraine.
I personally know three people who took in a family.

This would also highlight how much genuine support there is for these young men, who have crossed illegally.

Hi Barney, the fact that Romanians make up a large percentage of illegal immigrants to the UK but also have one of the biggest crime rates from the country they are fleeing, my door will remain tightly shut…. I have however put forward Foxy and Mob as kind hearted citizens with spare rooms  :D

The Government say that it is costing £6 million a day to keep the asylum seekers in hotels. They also say that there are currently around 50k asylum seekers. That works out at £120 per asylum seeker a day. If the Government used Premier Inns instead of hotels then they could cut the cost by 50%

Better still send France the bill since they allow them to cross.

I'm amazed that having come into the country by illegal means they think they have the right to pick and choose what they'll do and where they'll go.
I presume the mugs known as the taxpayers are footing the bill for the lawyers raking in money supporting them.

I think we need to look at the bigger picture, as in, what theses asylum seekers do for our country. The minority may in time contribute but the vast majority will struggle to contribute anything and will become dependent on the state for many years to come. They will be distributed to the poorest areas of the country with little or no hope of ever climbing out of that spiral of benefits.

The solution starts with not pandering to such organisation as amnesty international and those who shout human rights at every opportunity…. get tough with whatever means available until such time that they think they would be better off trying somewhere else. An inducement of perhaps £10k per asylum seeker might help them seek a better life elsewhere… could be money well spent in the long run.

Portland, Weymouth, is one end of the lovely Chesil Beach and within a bus ride on the beautiful coast road to the gorgeous Tropical Gardens near delightful Abbotsbury with its famous Swannery and nearby beach restaurants at Burton Bradstock. A number of our favourite haunts, I wonder if they do B&B on good old Bibby ?

If it had been moored on a lake nr Skelmersdale or Runcorn then maybe there would be something to moan about.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

The English persons will soon be included on the endangered species list, if it's not already.

I think he said what many people are thinking but are afraid to say...................just saying

Personally speaking I am happy to welcome those who come to our country and are prepared to integrate, to join in with our culture and our way of life and make a valuable contribution for the good of the nation.

I am heartily fed up with those who come and complain we are too white, who yearn for their 'homeland' and continually promote their own cultures, their own ways under the umbrella of diversity and we see far too much of a minority faction and their ideals being promoted in our society, to the detriment of our own culture. The more immigrants we take in who have no allegiance to the country, the more they will dilute the British way of life and promote their own.

The behaviour of those who have illegally arrived on our shores should tell us something and if they don't like it they should go away!!!

Screwy did you know how prison officers got the name "screwy" ?
We went to Stirling Old Jail museum it was very interesting and we seen one of the punishments a crank with a screw on top that guards could make more difficult to turn! Hence screws/ screwy ! There ends the lesson for today 😂😂

Absolutely correct, the phrase Turning the Screw derived from this.
The nursery rhyme’ here we go round the Mulberry bush’ is from the exercise yard in Wakefield prison, the bush was in the centre and prisoners would walk round it.
Another day on the treadmill. Prisoners would have to walk the treadmill to generate power in the early days.

As they disembark the illegal asylum seekers from the Bibby Stockholm barge, why was the water not checked, how many dead legs due to no use were not thought of and they may need to be chlorinated through out the system. Every room should have been checked. It sounds like no one carried out the checks.

Everything should have been checked before anyone ever got on it especially knowing the scrutiny it would get from all the dissenters.
