Statistics show that the most vulnerable groups are old codgers like me in the over 65’s age bracket.
Speak for yourself.

Re: 20 mph
The latest craze is for people to ride their mobility scooters on the road. Now that could be very nasty if anyone hit them whether at 20/10/ or even 5mph. And seeing the way some of them drive it's an accident waiting to happen. Frightening!!!
A young lad in town was fined lately for being in charge of a mobility scooter whilst over the limit for alcohol. It wasn't his scooter. The lady owner let people go for a ride on it if they bought her a drink!!!!

I don't believe that rural roads would be included in Wales or Dorset, it is only being proposed on urban roads.Manoverboard wrote: 26 Sep 2023, 10:17The existing 30mph limits on many of Dorset's rural byways are already ignored by the idiots so changing it to 20mph will have no impact whatsoever. It'll doubtless work ok in towns if policed ... which it won't be of course.
For me it is simply political point scoring.

Re: 20 mph
Have been out and about quite a bit this week with visits to the doctors surgery and the hospital.we are already in a 20mph zone as we live close to a school and already have traffic calming measures in place. However my car really dislikes doing 18mph and the dashboard is constantly asking me to change up a gear, also I find I am looking at the speedo and not the road.
We have seen tailgating and overtaking both dangerous but what annoys me is the constant chopping from 20 to 30mph.
Also the huge cost involved for 20mph signs which have already been vandalised.
