You can tell towny, thanks, but not to bother, as I’ve already got some of them in my garden.

It's very warm where I am at present, and not a sign of any invisible Keefie chocolates either.

Wow it’s quiet on the forum - hope everyone is okay or have you all snuck off to the sun? Just booked two cruises on the weekend - something to look forward to after the flippin awful winter we’ve had.

Re: Where is everyone
It is indeed Jan. We have just had a week away in Rosedale Abbey which was wonderful. We had pretty good weather and managed to get out and about. We had a day in York and another in Whitby. Actually Whitby was very pleasant. We have been in the summer when it has been absolutely heaving with people ..........and dogs on long leads for you to trip over if you're not careful!! This time it was less crowded and although the Park & Ride wasn't running there was plenty of free parking for 3 hours not too far out of the centre. We found a lovely cake shop which sold japs. Remember them? They were wonderful, not easy to eat elegantly but who was watching?
Last time we were there we bought a lobster with only one claw. We felt sorry for it which was strange cos it was dead!! Tasted good though.
We also had a great chocolate and raspberry roulade from Graze on the Green in Rosedale. It wasn't cheap but by heck it was lovely and we sat outside in the sun on a lovely warm day watching the world go by and listening to the sheep and birds doing what they do best. Bliss!!
Hence we were too busy enjoying ourselves.

I was taught to be cautious

Re: Where is everyone
I've hear of Japs Jan, but I think I remember hearing of them as referred to as Japonaise cake, not sure I've ever eaten one. There are several of us lurking around the forum but sad that there are not more of people we remember. I'm going off for a couple of days to a lovely hotel in Ascot. Will tell all when I return. It is really lovely to go an be spoilt for a short time. I found out today that the cruise I'm going on in June is going from the Mayflower Terminal, which pleases me. I've been from there so many times. When we went from the QEII Terminal we found it not quite so straight forward, although that was a while ago so things may have changed. There seem to be quite a few people mentioning on other sites that they have received emails asking if they want to bid for an upgrade. Not that I'm doing it but has anyone ever done it and it's paid off?

Re: Where is everyone
I’ve not been tempted to bid for an upgrade. Travelling with family we book select and have balcony cabins next to each other. We have the balcony doors unlocked so that we can sit out and talk to each other/have a drink etc. Very unlikely we’d get an upgrade that would suit our needs.

Hi Jan, I'm still here.
You must be really fed up with the weather we have had, going out and booking two cruises, lucky old you.
When will you enlighten us as to where you are going and on what ship. ?

Re: Where is everyone
According to the 'who's on line' there were 127 on line at 10.27.
Mostly we're guests.
Question, are guests only able to see what I would call the front page, before member logs in?
Numbers are now 177 on line of which 170 are guests.

Stephen normally allocates someone else to post Morning All when he's otherwise engaged, so I’m hoping its nothing more than man flu for this neglect of duty?

I think he posted that he was in Devon, but that's no reason to shirk his posting duties, just to save a few pounds by not paying for some mobile data.
