What an incredible final end for our women's curling team against USA to keep their medal hopes alive

Must admit after the first couple of ends I gave up.

It seems we are very good at coming just out of the medals and it runs through so many of the competitions. I'm afraid I don't feel such a great deal of sympathy when our athletes are interviewed, come up with all sorts of excuses and then say "It's been a great experience and I've had a great time!!" (or words to that effect). I feel like saying you weren't out there to be having a great time, you should have been fully focussed on winning!!! I look at some of our foreign competitors and they seem fully focussed on what they are doing. Having a good time is last on their minds.

OK I know they put in a lot of hard work training but maybe someone should tell them not to say anything about what a wonderful experience the Winter Olympics has been (which no doubt it has) and focus more on what they should have done to get that elusive bronze medal. That should be saved for when they have won something.

That's it nothing to watch this week - unless I start painting

Have to say that the TV coverage from Italy was excellent, unlike the BBC scheduling!

I was wondering what happens to everything when the Olympics is finished, and found this. Interesting.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Olympics following the ups and downs of our contestants - sometimes more downs than ups. Some of the performances were absolutely breathtaking and even if we didn’t win you had to admire those who did.
I was hoping for great things from our curlers but in the end we made errors at the vital moments and were punished by a very good team.

Yes; Foxy, I have also enjoyed the games…couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time seeing that I was laid up with a broken rib.

I think she went a little over the top…I only told her to iron my shirts better and put a better shine on my shoes
