If I want to watch Strictly I have to record it as no-one else in our house is interested. I somehow always find out who's been eliminated before I've watched the programme

We will watch it if in on a Saturday evening- though not religiously. Wouldn't dream of voting though - I leave that to the gullible/those with more money than sense. My pet hate is the shouting announcer.

Don't know about that, but I think the age of key presenters is probably more representative of viewing audience age ... Bruce Forsythe vs Ant & Dec (?) ;)

Well you clearly don't watch!!! Ant & Dec? The presenter of X Factor is the lovely Dermot O'Leary.
:D You are right, I don;t watch either (that is why I added the '?' I wasn't even sure who the presenters were.

Julie would sometimes watch them, but the same rule applies as soap operas ... they are bottom of the list and will not be watched if there is anything else on (and can not be recorded if we are watching something and recording something else).

I'm not quite sure what that statement is supposed to mean unless those that enjoy certain programmes are considered to be trending towards the lower socio-economic class.

To be honest I would question why you even consider belonging to a group where the socio-economic class does not measure up to your perceived standard, not that I'm suggesting you shouldn't but just wonder why

Very cleverly worded Mr Kane but what a very rude individual you are, that certainly doesn't suggest class in any shape or form.

There have been a couple of programs on BBC4 about Dusty Springfield - she never needed XFactor
Dusty Springfield was on BBC2 last night.
Great show.
Im a great fan.

I also love watching X Factor.
I find it funny... I like watching the way its been edited (not always good) when judges make comments and contestants make their mouths go. Its very set up.
But I still have a good laugh.
