Our hospice chaplain told me that at some convention he attended, the RC Bishop of Liverpool related a tale of the time he was conducting a funeral service, and a mobile phone started ringing inside the coffin!
We discussed might have happened if the phone hadn't rang, but pall bearers had tilted the coffin when picking it up. The change of position could have caused the phone to call a pre-stored number. Then while they were carrying it on their shoulders, with an ear against the coffin, the call would be answered, and they suddenly heard a voice saying "Hello? Hello?"
