Some excellent and funny suggestions ladies and Gentlemen but only one of you has come close to tucking into a box of keefy chocolates...

I thought I had given it away when I said...”it stood its ground when I approached”

I can’t get back to the computer till later so I’ll leave you with this “small” clue.

Regards

Keith

The clues "small", "stood" and "ground" point to a Little Owl making a pot of fresh coffee !

Going by their exchange of messages on here last night, it could have been Admiral of the Humber paying a surprise early morning call. Sounds like he came down the chimney, though

Now Gill, really ! Unless OL left the door open or the pony had a key, it's hardly likely to have come down the chimney now, is it ?

That's a thought, though....maybe he has upset the local mafioso and they left a horses head on his cushion as a warning !

Why did it have to come down the chimney ?

Perhaps it was hiding under the sofa watching the TV and when OL went to bed it scamperred up onto the cushion looking for the remote

It was therefore a standy up cheeky looking straight at you common or garden ' Merecat '.

ps ... or a lizard or a false widow spider
