What would you save?

Assuming my husband and the dog are safe, I'd take our fireproof box which has all our important papers in, house insurance, wills ,birth certificates and also has some old videos of the children when they were young at various events , competitions , shows etc in it. Then if there was time I'd try to take some of my photo albums, and the I pad, but if there were only minutes to spare I'd just get out quick !

Well yes, it's SUPPOSED to be a fireproof box, but would it withstand a fierce fire like those forest fires ? Don't know and wouldn't risk it.

Our fireproof box is only good up to some high temperature for a period of no more than 20-30 minutes (can't remember the specification) ... I guess it is only designed to handle moderate house fires.

And I bet you'd go back because you'd forgotten your favourite nail varnish, handbag, shoes etc...
