we've spent the day at the Olympic Park - twas beautiful..

then saw Boris (the politician, not Em the forum poster) at London Bridge stn on the way home.

Personally, I would rather regard the first sighting of a swallow as a harbinger of summer, not Boris !

We tend not to have too many brown patches in our garden as we have quite a few acidic loving plants which l keep well watered.....the strawberry plants seem to thrive on it too. :sick: er

My old dad's first job was in a nursery and apparently all the gardeners were encouraged to wee in the water butt. Good for the tomatoes, apparently !!
