Yorkie Raisin and Biscuit 'Its not for girls'.

Bad luck Graham, but you need a bit of sugar to live up to your avatar!

Well I learned all sorts on the smartphone course today but the nitty gritty of installing and uninstalling apps is next week. One thing the tutor did say was to hold off installing Windows 10 for about 6 months to give it time to show up any problems.
Also did you know the different versions of Android are named after confectionery? Mine is 4.2 which is 'jellybean' and is out of date even though I only got the phone in April. It was superseded by 4.3 (lollipop) but the latest and best version is the 4.4 Kitkat.
And apparently the names go in alphabetical order so the next will be some sort of sweet stuff beginning with 'M'. I'm going for Marshmallow because I don't like marzipan. Mind you, I'm not really into sweets these days.

I would be inclined to ignore your tutor on that advice ... Windows 10 has been very stable on every computer I have installed it on and (so far) the only issues I have had has been a scanner and a webcam, both quite old, that had to be binned because they would not work and there were no drivers available. Given Microsoft's past track record I was surprised at how easy the upgrade is ... just make sure you back up your important data first (and not do as one friend did ... they had installed windows 10 and then restored their data and could see no difference ... because they were doing an entire system restore putting their old Windows 8 over the top of Windows 10 ;) )

Close but not quite right, the latest version (Lollipop) is actually at 5.1.1
- 1.6 Donut
- 2.0 Eclair
- 2.2 Froyo
- 2.3 Gingerbread
- 3.0 Honeycomb
- 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 4.1 Jelly bean
- 4.4 KitKat
- 5.0 Lollipop
- Android M (in development)
Note the first letter is in alphabetical sequence. Many mobile phones still run Jelly Bean or Kitkat.
