Some of the seagulls in Cornwall are vicious. We used to own a holiday home in Carbis Bay St Ives. One day we came back to the flat in the car and two seagulls ran across the car park wings out squawking at us. We sat in our car for almost 10 minutes as we were too scared to get out, it was only when another car drove into the car park and they went after that that we were able to make a run for it up the stairs to our front door, one of the seagulls heard our car doors slam and turned and flew up at us, luckily there was an overhang of the roof above our front door and the seagull couldn't get us.

We heard a rumour about 5 years back that the local council were putting out bird food that contained a contraceptive for the seagulls to eat. Don't know if that was true or not but for a couple of years after that there were hardly any seagulls nesting in the area around our flat.

To all those who love seagulls: Fair enough, but if you could send me a contribution towards the £600 that would be lovely!

You cannot divorce man from the source of the problem. Seagulls are scavengers and feast upon food rubbish thrown on the ground. Unfortunately they don't differentiate between food you want and food you may be throwing away. And they don't care whose car they c***p on either.
Pity they don't analyse the contents of seagull poo. There's something in there which sticks to anything and nothing will shift it.
I was taught to be cautious

Another one to patent for the Dragon's Den. A glue better than super glue and a corrosive better than sulphuric acid! What their intestines are lined with could also have a market as something to paint on tanks protect them from nuclear attack.
