Thanks from me too David. I like what I've seen so far. There will always be the odd person that drops a little dig in (just an observation) but they are best ignored imo.

I could not agree more Ken, david63 has and continues to do a fabulous job as do the others who help moderate etc.
I have always enjoyed the camaraderie of the forum, the knowledge that everyone gives to others and hope to continue to do so for a long time to come, whether it be this one or the P&O forum if it ever comes back into existence.

Methinks that just one gentleman can produce such a top site reflects very badly on such a big organisation "whatsitsface"

Indeed, but don't be tempted to eat them...donate them to a local charity raffle.Manoverboard wrote:Yeah, a fantastic job D63 and one that truly deserves a ' real ' box of OL's finest chocolatesOnelife wrote:I think David63 is a very clever man to put all this together![]()

Great forum, thoroughly enjoy being part of it and being in touch with many friends again as I didn't have e mail addresses for some.
Freedom to express an opinion, as long as it's within the parameters of the T&C's, and if it's not, then it is dealt with fairly and quickly; no favouritism, no sucking up to Admin. (it don't work!), not that I've tried it.......yet
I'm sure it's a great deal of work for 'The Team' but you can see how appreciate we are of your efforts to provide us with a first class forum.

Mob
How can you make such spurious claims about my chocolates not being “real” I’ve received hundreds of PM’s from the lovely ladies of this, and pervious forums “all” no doubt wanting to say a big thank you for my thoughtful and unequalled generosity? ...I would love to recall to you some of the lovely messages within but as yet I haven’t opened any of them because I know they will only bring tears to my eyes
Btw I had intended sending David63 some of keefy’s finest chocolates but thought better of it as he might try and get away without buying some for valentine’s day....I would hate to think I’d contributed to his wife’s disappointment
Now if you don’t mind I’ll get on with what I do best...Chocolates anyone?
Regards

Re: One month on .....
After the apparent demise of the P&O forum, I had more or less resigned myself to life without a cruise forum. I sometimes read the other forums, but had no desire to join. They just didn't have the same mix of people that I enjoyed.
But David came along to save the day, so I would just like to add my thanks to David and the mods team.
And I'm just going to refuse to believe that this forum might be temporary.

May I add my thanks too. I am not a prolific poster, but enjoy browsing the forum, and posting when I have the time.

Re: One month on .....
I am thrilled to have just found this site after following a link from the P&O facebook site and am amazed at the technical expertise that has been employed to put this together.
Don't think we will ever see a resurrection of the P&O Community page and personally don't think it could compete with this.
A very well done!

It would be nice if all 400 members were active. A quick scan of the membership shows me tha nearly 300 of our fellow forumeers aren't into double figure postings.

Re: One month on .....
There are many reasons for this:
Some just like to read the posts without posting themselves
Some are shy
Some just come onto the forum to ask questions and get information
Some take a while to gather their bearings before posting themselves etc etc
The forum means different things to different people.

Dear OBF,
I've no problem with any of your reasoning but I wish more would post regularly otherwise there is a danger that with the same old faces posting all the time it will get a bit stale.
Regards
Rob

You're right, of course, but you can't make people post if they don't want to. We do, of course have some new posters who are subscribing and hopefully we'll get more.
