I went at 08:30 this morning and there were only about half a dozen of us there - straight in, no queuing

We were both covinated this morning, and had our flu jabs ten days ago, so let's hope they both work well and keep us virus free on Iona in 10 days time.
Have you not read the latest news - you cannot sail if you have been jabbed in the 14 days prior to embarkation
Read it again David, 14 days refers to the initial booster, top up boostes are 7 days.

Same problem as you Foxy. Just went for my jabs only to find the world and his mother were queueing out the door and way up the footpath. Makes you wonder what's the point of an appointment time. Hopeless

Almost feel like saying boll*cks to it and take my chances.
We're going to give it a few weeks and try again. By then they'll probably be begging for us to go. The nearest walk-in centre is 30 miles away, not that desperate.
Meanwhile we had our flu jab without any side effects at all, not even a sore arm. I think the old birds are going tough!!!
I was taught to be cautious

I didn't think of it at the time but I phoned the pharmacy which is right next door to our surgery who are doing walk in flu jabs, so I might nip down there in while and see how the land lies parking wise, it was horrendous earlier. At least it'll be half the job done.

Flu jab Saturday morning 08.33, covid, 19 November 10. 50. After the long queuing during the roll out, I am hoping the queue will run near to time.
We both go to the surgery Saturday, I get the semi skimmed flu jab while Mrs B has the full fat one.
Don't worry, be happy

Had flue jab at pharmacy eventually so we’re half way there. Mind you the pharmacist was half asleep so god know what’s pumping through my veins.

If I’m shouting ‘hey maaaan’ tonight it might not be the drug I was expecting,

It might be a good idea getting your cholesterol checked while you are there ;)

I’ve got mine on Friday morning and flu jab on Monday
Depending on what the system is where you are - you may be offered the flu jab at the same time as your Covid jab
Something to be avoided. SWMBO did that last year and was ill for a week.

Had flu jab a couple of days ago, now booked for Covid jab on the 19th October. Got a ten mile drive to get it though but at least I’ll have had it. Mrs seems to think it is probably better having them separate.

My covid jab was booked for Tuesday and my flu jab Saturday. I was speaking to a friend Wednesday evening and he mention a chemist not far from me that did walk ins. I went up there yesterday and got my booster and flu jabs at the same time. In and out in 20 minutes.

Well can’t believe it but I tested positive for Covid last night and again this morning. I blame it on attending a funeral last week but who knows! I felt rough all weekend - sore throat/cough/temperature but put it down to the colds going around. My son suggested a test and bingo I hit the jackpot - feeling sorry for myself today 😔

And the rest.

Ten days before I felt better and tested clear. Another six weeks before cough finally subsided.

You must have had it quite bad. I had about 3 days when I could barely get out of bed, then another 3-4 days where it was little more than a mild cold, but a lot of tiredness/fatigue ... 6 days testing positive ... I still have the cough , but being asthmatic, I have had worse.
