Must admit I would agree. I always feel a bit uncomfortable when the old ‘I bought shares when 3 beans got you a cow’ followed by a summary of all the OBC accrued over the years ( my, what a lot of cruises you’ve been on, Granny.) I remember the years of Carnival giving £0 dividend and always mentioned it posts.
I do feel sorry for those who invested £5k only a few months ago.![]()

And the prize for kn*b question of the day goes to....Emma Barnett 5 live.
Talking to Tobias Elwood regarding the PPE from Turkey, she asked if it was embarrassing that the RAF had to go there.? He replied, ‘ it’s what the RAF do ‘ surely a little research would have told her that’s what RAF transport command do. I suppose she would rather we spent more on chartering an aircraft.?

Re: Current Affairs
I have slight issues with ex ministers like Elwood and Hammond doing interviews under the implied context that they represent the government.
Hammond did an interview in Politico EU yesterday giving his opinion on what the government should do with reference to any extension on the leave date.
I expect you can guess what he said.

I agree. Especially ex ministers who were sacked/resigned-just-before-they-were-sacked who have an axe to grind.barney wrote: 21 Apr 2020, 13:16I have slight issues with ex ministers like Elwood and Hammond doing interviews under the implied context that they represent the government.

On the subject of ministers you know you are in dire straits when Tony Blair turns up. Why does he think anybody should listen to him?

Tobias Ellwood is Chair of the House of Commons Defence Select Committee. Well qualified to comment on the role of the RAF.
