Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
Hi pinchers,
We seem to have a couple of pinchers who have failed to make the weigh...still time!!
My wife has done really well with a weight loss of 4 lbs....not sure she had both feet on the scales but l'll have to take her word for it.
Well done, Sue, Alan, kenmo all of you should be giving yourselves a big
Frank....is it a case of no gain no pain?
Jacksparrow....you've made a great start....
Emjay...see you at next weeks weigh-in
Kaz... good luck with slimming world.
A warm welcme to DQ who will be joining us tomorrow and a warm welcome to Susan who is taking an extra week to get herself mentaly prepared.
Remember...fridge pickers wear bigger knickers
Regards
Keith
P.s ....A warm welcme awaits anyone who is thinking of joining us.
The winner and slimmer of the week celery stick award will be anounced tomorrow....just in case their are any "pinchers" yet to weigh-in

I had homemade stew Friday and Saturday with a few glasses of wine.
Had a fry up this morning about 11am as my son and family came round but not had anything else and will have a sarni later.
Got squash Monday night and will weigh in on Tuesday...will post my weight then.

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
Good morning pinchers,
It is with great delight and l must say surprise that l am now in a positon to announce the winner of the slimmer of the week award. This week honour goes to my lovely wife has lost over 4 lb from the date on which the diet started.
Congratulations
Mrs Onelife your husband is very proud of you as it saves me having to fork out for post and packaging of the coverted celery stick
Remember pinchers, the pinch-an-incher who wins the most amount of celery sticks during each month will win the monthly prize of an Iceberg lettuce.
There have been some notable weight loses this past week so a special mention goes to Sue who if it hadn't been for those glasses of wine would now be munching on a celery stick...another notable effot goes to yours truly who if it hadn't been for his mate plying me with drnks at the weekend l too would be munching on a celery stick.
Onwards and downwards....stay strong "pinchers"
Remember....fridge pinchers wear bigger knickers
Regards
Keith

Hi Maureen,
I've just this minute passed on your "well done" message to my wife....she said "Ah, thank you.
Well l'm sticking with my porridge breakfast, followed by my Ryvita lunch with assorted toppings and a normal evening meal albiet with smaller portions. For snacks l'm tucking into a apple mid morning and an orange for high tea.
Im still resisting the temptation of cheese with crusty bread which l have to say is becoming increasingly difficult as every time l think of "cheese and crusty bread" my nostrils seem to sence the smell of it as well.
Must stay strong only 1 stone 11 lbs and 5 months to go before l reach my target weight
Regards

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
Someone please have a word with my SIL....
He keeps giving me bacon butties and fish'n'chips, even though he knows I'm trying to lose weight. If he offered to make them for me, I could at least say "no thank you" but he just dishes it up already cooked.

SS, I presume not at the same time. It is hard when people want to do nice things for you. Perhaps you could feel rather full halfway through the fish and chips. The alternative is starving yourself next day.

I finally plucked up the courage to weigh myself and unless our scales are wrong ( I hope not), I'm not as heavy as I thought I was. So hopefully I will achieve the weight loss I want before our next cruise. I am actually enjoying my cottage cheese and Ryvita lunches too.

The stewards could find no evidance of race fixing before, during, or after the race.... there were no objections by the runners up to the winner and after studying the photo replay the stewards were of the opinion that Mr Onelife riding "Squeak squeak" may have deviated off a true line but felt this wouldn't have affected the finishing order as Mrs Onelife riding..."don't argue with me" wasn't taking no for an answer where winning the first ever "celery stick stakes" was concerned.

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
Hi Onelife,
I have already joined your "Pinch an Inch Diet Club", but we have only just returned from our New Year Cruise on Azura to the Caribbean. We had a wonderful time, beautiful islands , wonderful weather, food was ok, enjoyed 17 (restaurant on Azura), so unfortunately wasn't able to weigh in (well I did check and had put on 7lbs in 2 weeks on-board, so really need this diet). ill weigh again next sunday and let you have a run down.
I plan to follow my low cal, low carb diet, smaller portions etc., and go to the gym 4 times a week for 2 hours a day!!
Good luck everyone.
Karen

Hi Karen,
Not sure you'll be thinking along the same lines but welcome back.
Not wishing to sound cheeky but it sounds like you've had a fantastic time both inside and outside the resturants....but lets put this into prospective 7 lbs over two weeks is only 1/2 lb a day which considering the temptation deserves a big round of appluase in my weighing book
.....Darknight has set his limit at 2 lbs a day and thats just for breakfast
You sound like a lady who is going to be in the running for the monthly slimmer of the month Iceberg lettuce award.
Good luck over the coming weeks and remember our motto...."fridge pinchers wear bigger knickers"....and if you don't belive it just ask Stephen he's on his third pair
Regards
Keith

Hi Onelife,
I might have only put on 7lbs on holiday but I put a stone on since giving up smoking so I really need to loose 2stone!!! So I don't think I will be in the running for the "Iceberg" award.

I was thinking the same thing but better he wear his wifes knickers than do what he normally does which is nick them off his next door neighbours washing lines

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
Shame on me! I have put on weight, due to a massive delicious chicken curry prepared by Sue yesterday lunch time, and followed up at tea time with her home made cream of leek and potato soup. All this and we are on the Norwegian Getaway in Southampton for a one nighter tomorrow. I fear that by Friday mornings weigh in I will be as gross as some of the cynical cross dressers on here...no names, no pack drill.

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
Hi Pinchers, Have just seen a report about the "alternate day diet" which has been widely researched with good success. You have 500 calories every other day and eat normally on the alternate days. Apparently your stomach shrinks so you feel full quicker and you dont get the starvation response where your body lays down fat as soon as you sniff a morsel of food. Once you have reached your target you go onto 1000 calories alternate days to maintain you weight. Just thought it worth a mention just in case anyone might like to give it a try?
Frank, considering you have a one day cruise booked this diet sounds tailor made for you
Regards
Keith
