I wish you were wrong but sadly not!! We will have to wait and see.

I see 'Uddersfield have got themselves a new manager - Mark Robins.

Indeed we have and he has a good track record in avoiding relegation, so let's hope he can do the same for us. A similar return to the one he has achieved at Coventry this season will be very useful.

But Hull are only winning 1:0 at the moment so could potentially slip to a draw whereas Palace and Watford are 3:0 up so you are under pressure for goal difference as well as points ... life's a bitch at the top .. right

Update - Results

Hull win 1:0

Palace win 4:1

Watford win 4:0

Do not, whatever you do, miss the Football League Show tonight...Palace v Middlesbrough the main match.....You will see four of the finest goals ever....all by English players (Watford please note) and only one loan player (English) and that was granddad's..

Mr Hodgeson (ex-Palace born in Croydon) was there looking at Palace's English players (Watford please note)....he was probably looking at Wilf but I think he would have come away really impressed by our Glenn Murray (born in Cumbria, which makes him English.)

We were good today...just a tad.

Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur FC are Iceland's oldest and most succesful football Club...Today is their birthday....They were founded on 16th February 1899.

Now, not a lot of people know that and even fewer can say it

They are also know as KR Reykjavík....which is a bit easier to say...

Mr Zola wishes to advise that Watford FC presently have players from several Countries within their squad and that many of them play, or have played, at various levels for their Country of origin including Italy, Switzerland and Czechoslovakia but also please note England, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

By the way did anybody see ' Olly ' running about like a scared rabbit in headlights whingeing on about the number of foreign loan players in Watford's team ... his highly stressed display could have cost Palace that match, it could even have cost him his life.

I'd like to think Leeds can repeat their Spurs triumph but this is the only trophy left for Mancini so it's going to be difficult.

You may be right but I remember one time Leeds beat Arsenal which meant that Man United won the league that season ......

City 4 Leeds 0. No surprise really - season over.
Let's see what local rivals Huddersfield can do now.

I saw a couple of very good goals, a number of missed opportunities and some comical defending by Boro.

There are times PTE when you are prone to exaggerate ... a trait that I hugely admire regarding footy if I may say so

Another depressing night. We played poorly against a team managed by an ex-City coach and an ex-City player scored against us (again!!). Again careless mistakes cost us the match. I'm away now to find a dark corner!!!

Meanwhile everybody else won (except Cardiff). We now need to win our two games in hand to get back in contention otherwise it's going to be the play-offs, or worse, for us.

A bad day at the office for the Udds no doubt.

What is interesting, to me anyway, is the manner in which Forest have responded to the return of their Hero ... was it player power at work at that Club and a joint effort to under achieve without him ?

On the back of Hull City's recent Egyptian inspired success you can now buy a Hull City logo'd fez.

Huddersfield Town were recently warned by the Football League that they might have points deducted if they failed to fulfill their obligation to stage at least one home game on Sky. The police had refused requests to allow the fixtures against first Leeds and Cardiff to be switched to allow screening because of crowd policing safety fears, and were also wanting to prevent a match against Hull from being switched from a lunchtime kick off to 5:30, following the FL threat WY police agreed to the change but demanded the fixture be all ticket and that away supporters be restricted to 1500 and that they must travel only on supporters club coaches. Now our average attendances are only 14000 and the last time there was any significant trouble at Huddersfield I think I was in short trousers, I wonder how the West Yorks police would cope if they had to police Old Trafford and the Etihad.

I can't fathom that one out. Huddersfield don't have a reputation for dodgy supporters. We all have the headbangers who find self control a bit of a problem but Huddersfield are hardly awash with them to that extent. It makes you wonder what West Yorks police have in mind. Thank goodness football is nothing like it was in the60's and 70's although there are still certain grounds I'd be very careful of wearing my colours. 'Uddersfield is not one of them.
