Re: Strictly 2022
You guys are so fickle - it was all Amy Amy Amy but now Helen is flavour of the month and not forgetting Jowita (Foxy’s favourite). Hamza is a fantastic dancer but the public has been pretty fickle so who knows. Not fussed on the celebrities who dedicate their dances to family friends Uncle Tom Cobley and all - why can’t people keep their personal lives private! Helen was really annoyed when Gorka brought up her personal issues and what she was going through (husband left her with three kids then gets his new girlfriend pregnant) - if looks could kill
As for Helen’s dancing experience - tap dancing champion at 7 years of age and a Christmas special - give the girl a break

Re: Strictly 2022
Hi David, thanks for highlighting the failures of the voting public in not understanding the finer elements of dance…although to be fair, they won’t have had the experiences that I have enjoyed throughout my dancing career…. I suppose as an analogy it’s a bit like asking them to tell the difference between Lindt Lindor and Cooking Chocolate, they clearly haven’t a clue when it comes to the finer things in life.david63 wrote: 21 Nov 2022, 10:12Thank God I didn't take that adviceOnelife wrote: 19 Nov 2022, 21:17I’m laying my reputation on the line tonight with what I think could be an unexpected result
So, it’s hello Will and goodbye Kym.About as reliable as chocolate deliveries

Not sure why Molly is in the dance off so often as she is a far better dancer than some of the others - presumably she does not resonate with the public in the popularity stakes!

I won't ask where Keefie chocolates sit on the Lindt/Lindor/Cooking scale. Mainly because no-one who has even tried them is alive to give us an opinion.

Jan, all I said was I would prefer a total beginner to win, it wasn't a criticism of Helen.

I've always rated Helen as a TV presenter. Gutsy and enthusiastic whatever she does, as well as attractive.Jan Rosser wrote: 21 Nov 2022, 12:31You guys are so fickle - it was all Amy Amy Amy but now Helen is flavour of the month and not forgetting Jowita (Foxy’s favourite). You could tell at the start of Strictly that her marriage issues had really knocked her self-confidence. It's great to see she's got that back. And good on her not to play on the back story.

I would just like to point out that I put Hamza up as the winner.... and Jowita as a nice-looking bird long before Foxy tried to get his teeth into her.
Without the eye make up she has the most beautiful eyes….In fact I would go as far as saying they are enough to melt my chocolates.
England are playing well

Re: Strictly 2022
I thought Ellie Taylor done well this week although why they put the silly flying thing in at the end I don’t know as the dance was good enough without it.
Taylor was the correct choice this week to go out, but it was good to see Shirley being made to make the final choice for a change by Anton.
Helen, a great dance this week but I just can’t warm to her as I can’t that Will Mellor. Must be a Northern thing.
For me Hamza is the only genuine article left. Whether he lifts the trophy remains to be seen.

Kym Marsh out of this week's show due to testing positive for Covid. That will save her for at least another week!

Advance warning for anyone not aware - next weekend SCD is on Friday because of the football.
Not sure why the whole world has to revolve around football - there are plenty of other channels that sport can be broadcast on, it never seems to be a problem for the Olympics!

Re: Strictly 2022
Even though I watch most sport, I do despair as to why the BBC need to chop and change their normal schedules to accommodate football on BBC1, especially now that everyone has freeview. Surely they could open up BBC 3 or 4 for these sporting events.

Bl**dy football
it’s all you see in the morning when what you really want to watch is proper news not how a bunch of pre Madonna’s are playing.

There's not enough football on the box. Plenty of other stations to watch politicians lie and see the other news.

Imagine the poor little darling footballers if they had to have a day less training before their big match to make way for something else. It's a significant change for the Strictly contestants. Not like just playing out a prerecorded soap a day adrift.david63 wrote: 26 Nov 2022, 08:15Advance warning for anyone not aware - next weekend SCD is on Friday because of the football.

All football should be on Sky's multiple channels and banned from BBC and ITV.Bensham33 wrote: 26 Nov 2022, 12:18There's not enough football on the box. Plenty of other stations to watch politicians lie and see the other news.

Strictly contestants will have 5 full days off from their contest to train but also to rest whereas footballers frequently get one day of rest followed by one day with light training followed by a game ... week after week after week throughout the season. This intensive demand can result in a serious injury.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 26 Nov 2022, 12:53Imagine the poor little darling footballers if they had to have a day less training before their big match to make way for something else. Re: Strictly 2022
If it's a toss up whether to watch England based on last night's performance or Strictly I may have a problem.
Harry or Jowita? Strictly might win, nay Strictly would win.
When I look at how much Premier footballers earn I find it difficult to be sympathetic to the number of matches they play.
As a youth I played three matches a weekend and do a Sunday morning paper round.

Re: Strictly 2022
Strictly contestants get one day off a week, Sunday, then train 8 to 10 hours a day for the next 5, often alongside a day job, before performing again. Football players are pampered over paid wimps by comparison. Kids play more football for fun!Manoverboard wrote: 26 Nov 2022, 13:02Strictly contestants will have 5 full days off from their contest to train but also to rest whereas footballers frequently get one day of rest followed by one day with light training followed by a game ... week after week after week throughout the season.
