Rumour has that the Pope has died.? Well, I think I’d want to leave this mortal coil if I’d had a visit from JD Vance.!

BTW. Is there no other news other than the Pope.? Me being non religious I’m finding it all a bit monotonous.!
I believe that Trump has nominated himself to be the next Pope

If it gets him out of the White House, then I think it's a great idea, especially if he takes the rest of his cabinet to the Vatican as well.

They don't really mean it do they ? Universal Studios building a $50 billion theme park in Bedford of all places as their only one in Europe. I mean don't you think Spain/Portugal have better weather for an all year theme park. Who wants to stand in a queue in the middle of a rainy winter to go on a ride

You never know Pompy. As the climate continues to change, our country is expected to get warmer, admittedly maybe wetter. It's a good 5/6 years to opening, and they hope to continue to evolve the park for the next 100 years.
Do they know something.

Q : What will be Labour's next mad idea?
A : Regional energy pricing! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp91md1lj92o

So depending on where you live the price you pay for energy could vary - something that you have absolutely no control over. And one thing that we all know is that with such a scheme those living in the "cheap" areas will pay the same as now whilst those living in the "expensive" areas will pay more.

I know that this is a silly idea but why can we not extricate ourselves from the stupid energy pricing system that we have now. Much of our electricity comes from green initiatives and actually costs nowhere near the price that has to be charged and much of our gas comes from the North Sea so why do we have to pay the same price as the rest of the world?

Why does Trump have to wear a blue suit and tie at the Pope's funeral when everyone else is in black/dark suits? Did he not get the dress code letter?

Zelensky, who is in black, should call him out about being improperly dressed.

The crowds outside Vatican gave a big round of applause when Volodymyr Zelensky appeared as he went to take his seat.

From a man who started out as a comedian to one that has gained the respect of the world deserves applause…. respect to the people of Ukraine.

Donald Trump still trying to get the Nobel Peace Prize.....as well as mineral rights from Uraguay

he's even been nominated this year by Oleksandr Merezhko, a top MP from President Volodymyr Zelensky's party....

also Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Bonsall who said "Not since Ronald Reagan has an American president better represented the national resolve of peace through strength or the fundamental case for a world without war,"

Mind you there are also over 200 other candidates nominated also this year ....seems fairly easy to nominate someone.

Personally I feel it disrespectful to be conducting talks in the vicinity of the Vatican on the day of the popes funeral.

I’m sure there are many who share that view Stephen, especially those of the Catholic faith…but thinking outside the conclaves for a moment, it’s probably the only place on earth that Trump wouldn’t want to be seen having a slanging match.

I think the late Pope would have approved given his stance on wars.

A time and place for everything, but in my view that wasn’t it. Just my own view and standards of course.

I have no problem with them meeting in Rome, or even within the Vatican.. But to unashamedly milk it as Trump has is dreadful. If anything it should have been in private and discrete. Not trying to grab the limelight.

I also thought it inappropriate to be holding such a meeting in the middle of the Pope's funeral. Meet before, meet afterwards but meeting in the Vatican especially on this occasion was wrong time, wrong place.

You both need to start thinking of the positives …if this meeting brings them one step closer to peace it will be considered a miracle and as a result Pope Francis will be one step closer to Sainthood.

God works in mysterious ways…if you believe in all that crap!

Personally I don't see any problem with having "discussions" at a funeral - everyone does it with people that they have not seen for some time. Perhaps, though, it could be considered slightly inappropriate to do it with full worldwide publicity - but, unfortunately, that is the way of the world today.

But not in the middle of a funeral. Wait until the wake or funeral tea whilst everyone else is having a knees up!!! 🤣

I imagine Air Force 1 would have been fully fueled with its engines at the ready, immediately that Trump was able to get away afterwards.

It was - he was away before the Pope's coffin had left the Vatican - remember it was a Saturday and is his golf day!

No point in hanging around if the only thing on offer was "bread and wine" just doesn’t hack it compared to fillet steak.
