"Arrogant and offensive. Can you imagine having to work with these truth twisters"

I didn't realise you were a pollster Gill, and a blooming quick one as well, unless of course you are assuming that taking a straw poll of social media sites with an anti govt bias constitutes a fair assessment?

Because Marr wouldn’t allow the transport minister to discuss the important issue of Transport Grant has asked me to to say a few words, however, they are probably not the words he has probably thought of himself.

With this in mind I thought I would get your thoughts before passing it on for his consideration.

There seems to be a big Government push to get city dwellers/everyone on their bikes to ease the pressure on public transport. If I understood correctly this is a long-term goal and one that will require the infrastructure changes for it to be successful… to this end the Government have said they will stump up the money.

I personally fully support this initiative but if it does become a success will this impact on the viability/profitability of privately run modes of transport e.g tubes, trains, buses etc or could we see a return of nationalisation?

On what some are saying, one rule for some and another for others, it seems there is another one for the press. A real scrum as the BBC reported it around Mr Cummings car and up against him, no social distancing what so ever. The BBC did follow up saying that they were social distancing at the back of the pack. So maybe the press pack should be called to account for their behavior.

The Independent on line is saying that before it was taken down, it was shared by around 1,000 users and liked by 21,000. I would imagine that there is some serious investigating going on by the CS to find out who put it on Twitter in the first place.

She says ‘we are a grieving family, there has been no recognition of that.

To my mind that makes it even worse. It’s a slap in the face to everyone who observed lockdown and couldn’t be with family when relatives died.

Do you know that Cummings visited his Uncle during this period, is there any evidence to support this, or are just assuming the worst because it fits your belief?

I never said that Cummings visited said uncle.

For info, the uncle died in London on 5/4/20, when Cummings was already in Durham

The slap in the face is for all those people who have had relatives who died while lockdown was on and haven’t been able to get together to comfort each other.

My own prediction is that Labour will demand a Public Enquiry, the Press will clutch at straws and dream up creative stories to keep the band wagon rolling in order to sell newspapers and the Social Media sites will jump up and down discussing the sheer injustice of it all in order to convince each other that they know better than everybody else.

Meanwhile No 10 will issue “ No Comment “ responses and after a week or so it will be dead in the water.

Barney, if you think that the Conservative party are going to kill off their best chance of continuing in office after 2024, on something as trivial as this, then you are barking up the wrong party.

It's trial by media at the moment. The trip to Barnard Castle is based on an allegation that somebody saw someone who looked like Cummings, jotted down his number plate and Googled it.
As I see it the best way out of it is to test the allegations and prove whether they are right or wrong. If Cummings has been lieing then he has to go. Starmer is naturally quiet as he has MPs who broke lockdown rules and nothing was done.

Personally I feel the media and elements of the public are just as bad. Yes, Mr Cummings has dropped a clanger and to be honest should go, But did you see all the media hounding him when he was trying to get into his car, social distancing went out the window there with them all huddled shoulder to shoulder. It wasn't much better when all the idiots on cycles with nothing better to do were outside his house demonstrating.

Ok, I’m back from my one day self isolation on here, I have to say that there are some here with an ‘ Holier than thou’ attitude who are acting like dogs with a bone. We have all expressed our opinions which were all entitled to do but please stop squabbling like spoilt children. Stop pushing the alleged sighting. Only the Police and DVLA have access to vehicle ownership so this just smacks of certain press slipping a few quid to someone, no actual evidence at all.

Let’s all move on now and play nicely, we’re all meant to be adults.
