So, basically you are saying it's impossible to leave the EU. What's the point of the leaving mechanism if it cannot be used. I'd dump the withdrawal agreement and leave on 29th March. Save 39 billion and get on with it. Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. Remember.
No, I didn't say that at all. I said Brexit as sold by the Leave Campaigns wasn't possible.

based on what you have said through out this process, you are happy to leave without a deal, in full knowledge of all consequences. Yet, in the event of the no deal that you are prefectly happy with, you would blame the 'anti-democrats' for all negative outcomes. Rather contradictory, but I have it clear in my mind now.
Gill, sadly Barney is not alone adopting that strategy.

Spoke to PM earlier - not obvious that she has any real idea what to do next.
Also not at all clear she is open to any fundamental change of thinking in her proposed cross party talks.
The bare minimum she must do now is seek extension of Article 50 to stop the clock.

I seem to recall David Davis on Question Time a couple or so months back saying that this is the period when the "real" negotiations will happen in typical EU brinkmanship fashion.

No WA would suit me.

Due notice has been given of the leave date so it won't come as a shock when it happens.

Very good Jack. Sums the EU up perfectly. surely even the most ardent anti democrat can see that no deal is around the corner. It's written into law.

Please stop the untrue anti democrat line. I realise untruths are a Brexiter trait, but I thought we were above that.

Anything written into law can be unwritten. Chances of us leaving 29 th March now 16%.

It is not a betrayal to change your mind, no matter what the particularly nasty sections of the right wing press will have you believe. "

Fair comment. The public have every right to change their mind. That is why we have general elections every five years. What is not democratic is just ignoring the result because you don't agree with it. I'm happy to leave the EU and let any party stand on rejoining. That is democracy.

I'm disappointed that you haven't noticed that I have not been ignoring the result.
As is my democratic right, I have campaigned, marched, donated, helped on street stalls and even heckled Nigel Farage.
Democracy did not stop (even just for a period of time) on 23rd June 2016. That's not how it works.

Well she is still in there fighting our corner and will be after tonight's vote l hope . I now hear calls for a plan B to be put on the table lol.....there isnt one, the only feasible deal is the one that is already on the table.

All we are getting now is remainers and political opportunists spouting they don't want a 'no deal' but havent a clue about what any other options would really entail.
This sends a clear message to Brussels that they don't have to compromise.....how bloody farcical is that?

Theresa needs to go back to Brussels with two options......compromise on the backstop or no deal ...end of.

Whilst l wouldn't want a no deal neither do l want to remain subservient to our EU dictators...on what will be worse terms than what we have now.....lf needs be l'll even share my well stocked shelves of food to the less fortunate should we have opt for WTO terms.

What l know for sure is that Jacks hahahaing will turn to tears for us all if our democratic process is hijacked by what is predominantly a load of loosers.

Stay Strong Theresa our Country needs you!

Quite right Onelife. A time limited backstop or no WA agreement and No bribe money. Its so obvious. I see that Varadker is getting a bit twitchy today. The penny has finally dropped. The EU must compromise on this unacceptable clause.

Brexiters want to leave the EU. OK, I get that.
But it is up to Brexiters to come up with a plan that satisfies...
MPs
The EU
Business
The public (the people)
But most important of all their plan must satisfy the Brexiters, something they just can't seem to do. That is the problem.

Well after watching May on PMQ's and Gardener on Politics Live. I am now totally convinced that all that is of any real concern to both parties is their own political power.

David, Individually I have experienced both sides, Sir Lindsey Hoyle who does very much have the interest of his constituents at heart, and was extremely helpful to an organisation I head up, and DEN Dover, nuff said, google.
