For a good hour today we were up to 2nd, Bournemouth left it very late to grab a win against Stoke at home.

Grrrrrrr. !

Dan Phillips our Watford loanee got sent off again today.
The third time this season and totally changed the swing of the game.
I like an aggressive player but they must temper it with common sense.
Not saying we would have won but was well on top at the time and looking good for at least a point.
He’ll now get at least a three match ban.

Well done and keep the faith.

We were 11 points adrift, now just goal difference.

Charlton Tuesday which is winable.
We’ll take a decent turnout.

During the run in we play 4 of our fellow strugglers, if we don't lose any then maybe we will survive.

After their brief recovery Norwich now look doomed again, Leeds win yesterday might just give them hope, Everton also seem to be in freefall, so the 3rd relegation spot seems to be between you and Burnley, and they have form for surviving while Watford have form for failing...........just saying.

Could go any which way of course but in our favour we will be playing Burnley, Leeds, Brentford and Everton at home plus we may even get three extra points by default if Chelsea don't turn up on the last day of the season

FFS
Our reserve keeper had one save to make in 90 minutes and didn’t.
Fine margins but the manager cannot plan for individual errors.
Fortunately all other results went our way.
Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and realistically not expecting a result there.

That’s the guy Moby.
He came in last week because Chapman had a strain and played well so kept the place.
Apparently he’s a Swedish international but doesn’t inspire confidence.
It was a shot straight at him that he spilled, recovered for the follow up and made a good save but the ball fell to a Charlton player in the box who stroked it home.
My Granny would have held the first shot.
It was hardly a net buster.
I’d be surprised if he starts Saturday.
When the team is struggling, individual errors are very costly.
To be fair, we only had two good opportunities and both fell to a centre back who finished like a centre back.
Edit- could have really done with Phillips last night to beef up the midfield. Olly Lee is a nice enough footballer but doesn’t really tackle.
Phillips will be out for Saturday at Sheffield Wednesday.

Cheers
It ain’t over until it’s over.
Harris has done an incredible job to be honest.
Lost our skipper and best player to Bolton on transfer deadline day but managed to to secure the defence and make us hard to beat.
Scoring is still a problem but the effort is off the scale. Wednesday were very fortunate to get a draw.

Update for Moby

Dahlberg found himself back on the bench for Saturday and Chapman was faultless so I think Harris will stick with him.
Phillips is back Saturday but given the midfield performance last match, he’s unlikely to be straight back in.
He’ll be needed before long as the injury list grows.
